The Amazing Race November 8, 2023 Eliminated Malaina & Andrea (Recap)

Hey, “The Amazing Race” fans. Tonight,November 8, 2023, another new episode of The Amazing Race’s current season 35 did indeed hit the air,and another unlucky team got sent packing for being too slow. Tonight’s new episode kicked off with the teams learning they had to fly out of India and over to Frankfurt, Germany.

When the teams arrived in Frankfurt, Germany, they had to drive to a ferry, which took them to the Burg Rheinstein castle. When they got there, they had to spend five Euros on board to exchange for Witten historical coins to pay their way at the Roadblock.

Next, the teams hit that Roadblock. During it, they had to pay the correct amount of Witten to a Robber Baron to receive their next clue. However, it was pretty difficult as they had to calculate the formula to come up with the right amount. Malaina and Andrea had to go all the way back to this one after not exchanging their Euros for Witten coins and wasted a ton of time. In fact, it put them in dead last place.

After the teams got their next clue, they had to go to Cologne, Germany. When they got there, they had to find Gürzenich Köln to get their next clue. At one point, Steve and Anna Leigh started having a pretty serious-sounding argument. Steve basically told her he’s had enough of her and her smart mouth.

When the teams got to Cologne, Germany, they had to participate in a Cologne Carnival. One team member had to ride a horse tricycle while the other team member threw flowers to get their next clue. This next clue told them they had to go to Hohenzollernbrücke to get their next clue.

This next clue gave them another Roadblock challenge. During it, they had to unlock a marked love lock on a bridge, and they needed the right combination code to do it. They were told that the lock combination is the oldest cologne made in Cologne. So, they had to hunt that answer down by doing an internet search on people’s smart phones. The answer was 4711.

After the teams completed the love lock Roadblock challenge, they were hit with some detour challenges titled,”Just For Kicks” or “Matter Of Taste.” In the “Just For Kicks” detour, the teams had to score exactly 66 points by kicking a velcro soccer ball at a dart board to get their next clue. They couldn’t go over or under 66 points. Ashlie and Todd got hung up on this one to the point that they decided to just switch to doing the other “Matter Of Taste” detour instead.

In the “Matter of taste” detour, the teams had to correctly identify 9 mustard flavors by their German name to get their next clue.

After the teams successfully completed their detours, they were told to hit up the Das Schokoladenmuseum, which is a chocolate museum.

Greg and John showed up at the pit stop in first place, and won $4000 dollars each. Chelsea and Robbin took 2nd place. Todd and Ashlie came in 3rd place. Corey and Rob finished in 4th place. Steve and Anna Leigh came in 5th. Morgan and Lena took 6th place. Joel and Garrett got the very important 7th position to narrowly escape getting eliminated. Malaina & Andrea finished last and got eliminated. They were so far behind that host Phil Keoghan had to cut them off before they could even finish the leg.
