Survivor November 8, 2023 Voted Off Sifu & Kaleb (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, November 8, 2023, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 45 did indeed hit the air, and we saw not one, but two unlucky contestants get voted off the island when it was all wrapped up. Tonight’s new episode kicked off with everyone celebrating over making it out of the last tribal council meeting and into the official merge.
Kaleb talked about getting all the votes against him at the last tribal council and getting saved by using his shot in the dark. Bruce told the private cams, “Katura is dangerous.” Katura told the private cams, “Bruce is a serious liability for me.” Kendra told the private cams, “Bruce is very hard to work with, and I’m seeing it being really hard to move forward in this game with him.”
Katura told the private cams, “I need to convince enough people that Bruce has got to go.” Kellie told the private cams, “I’m happy to keep Bruce in this game because he thinks I’m his number one ally.”
Jake told the private cams, “I want Kaleb to stay in this game for a significant period of time.” Kaleb mentioned that it was so frustrating trying to have a conversation with Bruce. “I felt like he was trying to talk to me like I’m one of his kids,” he said. Kellie told the private cams,”Bruce has become a liability for me, and I don’t know what to do with him right now.”
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with the new, individual immunity challenge. During it, they were separated into two teams of six to hold onto a pole for dear life. The person who lasted the longest for each group, won immunity. The person who lasted the longest out of everyone, won immunity and a trip to the sanctuary for a taco meal.
This two-team twist meant that there would be two tribal council meetings for each team and that two people were getting voted off. The person who got voted off in the first tribal meeting did not make the jury. They drew straws for the two teams. The Red team turned out to be: Jake, Dee, Austin, Julie , Katura and Kaleb. The Blue team turned out to be: Bruce, Kendra , Emily , Drew, Kellie and Sifu.
Kellie won for the Blue team. Dee won for the Red, and Dee also won overall for the taco meal reward. Kellie and Dee were both safe from getting voted off. Since Dee won overall, her Red team went to the second tribal council meeting.
At the Red team’s taco meal, Julie told the private cams that she wants to vote off Kaleb. Jake told the private cams, “I need Kaleb as a shield, and I want to go deep with him in this game. My target is Julie because I want to get rid of one of Dee’s allies.”
At the Blue team, Drew told the private cams, “I want to take out Bruce, but he has the numbers.” Kendra told Drew, “I want Bruce out. Then, they pitched it to Emily. She immediately agreed to the idea of getting Bruce out. Bruce told Kellie and the private cams that he knows Kendra is campaigning for him to go, but he’s not worried because he has protection and an immunity idol.
Back over at the Red team, Dee told Austin she wants to get rid of Kaleb. She also told the private cams, “We’re voting Kaleb out no matter what.” Everyone seemed to agree with Dee when she pitched Kaleb’s name as the target.
However, Jake told the private cams, “I don’t wanna be told what to do.” So, Jake went to talk with Kaleb. They both agreed that they and Katura should vote to get rid of Julie to set up a tie and cause a revote until it gets down to Jake and Austin having to draw rocks. Then, Jake thinks he can convince Austin that they don’t have to draw rocks. Kaleb told Katura that Bruce has an immunity idol, and she agreed with Kaleb ,in that moment, to vote against Julie to set up the tie at tribal council.
Katura told the private cams, “I need Kaleb in this game because he’s a shield against Bruce.” Jake told Katura, “I got your back. I think if we can get this to a tie, we can pull Austin.” Katura told the private cams, “I don’t fully trust Jake and Kaleb. So, I’m not sure what I should do.”
At the Blue team, Emily told Sifu that they’re looking to vote off Bruce. However, Sifu told the private cams, “I think I’m the target.” Kellie and Kendra complained to each other how hard it is to work with Bruce, but Kellie said Bruce can’t go right now. He’s a shield for them.
Kendra told the private cams, “Sifu is an easy target.” Kendra pitched getting out Sifu to Drew, but he told the private cams, “I don’t know about that. I want Bruce out.” So, Drew talked with Kendra again and told her their best bet is to go for Bruce. Meanwhile, Bruce told Kellie, “I’m probably going play my immunity idol tonight.”
At the Blue team’s tribal council meeting, they just talked about some general game play before casting their votes. Then, Bruce got 1 vote, and Sifu got a whopping 4 votes. So, with the 4 votes, Sifu was voted off, and there was no jury for him. He left on a positive note, telling everyone, “You guys are awesome. Thank you everybody.” He told the private cams, “I felt my impending doom the whole day. I appreciate the opportunity to play Survivor.”
At the Red team’s tribal council meeting, they just did some general game talk as well before casting their votes. Then, Julie received 2 votes, and Kaleb got 4 votes. So, with the 4 votes, Kaleb was voted off Survivor season 45, but he did make the jury. Apparently, Katura decided not to go along with Kaleb and Jake’s master tie and revote plan. Kaleb made a positive exit saying, “Alright, congrats you guys. Always a pleasure.”
Kaleb told the private cams, “Right when I thought my game was about to make a turn, I got voted off. I fought to the very end. So, I’m really proud of how I fought in this game.” How do you guys feel about Sifu and Kaleb getting voted off Survivor season 45 in tonight’s episode? Let us know in the comments section.
