New America’s Got Talent January 1, 2024 Premiere Qualifiers Episode 1 Preview Revealed
Hey, “America’s Got Talent” fans. We’re back on here to inform you that the NBC people are giving you another impromptu season of America’s Got Talent, starting tonight, January 1, 2024. They’re calling it the”Fantasy League” edition. This new season was no doubt created to fill in all the empty time slots NBC has to fill due to the actors and writers strike that took place earlier this year.
With all that said, we do have some preview information for tonight’s new, January 1, 2024 premiere episode 1 via NBC’s official episode press release description. We’ve also got some other details for this season from the folks over at Mjsbigblog. We’ll go ahead and start off with NBC’s information.
They’re telling us that this Fantasy League will be similar to a fantasy sports draft. All the judges: Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B will build a roster of their favorite acts and guide them throughout this competition. Then, at the very end someone will be the champion. Tonight’s episode is going to start off with part 1 of the qualifying rounds.
NBC’s official description for tonight’s new, January 1, 2024 episode 1 reads like this, “AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: FANTASY LEAGUE. QUALIFIERS 1. Similar to a fantasy sports draft, the judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B each build a roster of their favorite acts and guide them throughout the competition as they hope to be crowned the champion. Terry Crews hosts.”
According to the folks over at Mjsbigblog.com , this fantasy league edition is supposed to last for only 8 weeks. The judges are going to pick 10 team members to mentor. It’ll be more similar to The Voice format where each judge builds a team of contestants.
The Top 40 acts were voted upon by fans shortly after the America’s Got Talent season 18 finale back in September 2023. They will perform 10 at a time over the course of 4 weeks of audition shows. The studio audience will vote for five acts to advance each round.
MJSbigblog also has a list of the acts that will be appearing in tonight’s new episode. They are: danger acrobats Billy & Emily England from season 12. Comedian Hans from season 13. Magician Jon Dorenbos from season 11. Singer Kodi from season 14 (winner).
Poledancer Kristy Sellars from season 17. Sand Artist Kseniya Simonova from UKRAINE’S GOT TALENT season 1. Opera Singer Maria Seiren from JAPAN’S GOT TALENT season 1. Shadow puppets performer Shadow Ace from season 18. Mime/Comedian Tape Face from season 11. Dance/Acrobatic Crew V. Unbeatable from season 14.
NBC’s press release confirmed that the new, premiere episode 1 of America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League’s current, premiere season 1 is indeed scheduled to hit the air tonight, January 1,2024, starting at approximately 7 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 9 pm central standard time.
