The Bachelor January 22, 2024 Eliminated 10 Women In Premiere Episode (Recap)
Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight,January 22, 2024, the very first, premiere episode 1 of the Bachelor 2024 edition with headliner Joey Graziadei hit the air, and 10 of the 32 women got sent packing at the end of it.
Tonight’s new, premiere episode 1 kicked off with Joey’s intro package. He let us know what he’s looking for in a future wife and all that jazz. Then, he talked with host Jesse Palmer for a few minutes. After that, it was time for the ladies to arrive and show their stuff. A few of the ladies stood out as they often try to do with their efforts to create a memorable first impression.
Maria gave Joey a Canadian flag at some point. Erika showed up dancing for Joey. She loves to dance, and she definitely made sure Joey knew it, and he seemed to enjoy it. Autumn told Joey, “I hope you fall to love Autumn” after she asked him what his favorite season is.
Kelsey gave Joey a male doll that was holding a cute little tennis racquet. Chandler showed up quoting the theme from the “Friends” show saying, “I’ll be there for you.” Talyah showed up with a wedding invitation to her future wedding with Joey. Allison told the private cams that she’s there with her older sister Lauren, and guess who was next. Lauren, of course. She brought Joey some beers to chug and challenged him to a beer chugging contest. She won. She downed that beer like a champ.
Kaitlyn let Joey know she’s a chemist, and brought a little chemistry experiment. Apparently, it revealed that she and Joey have good chemistry. Jenn showed up on a go-cart. She said, “I had to race over here so quick when I found out you were the Bachelor.”
Jess showed up on an actual boat that was being transported by a vehicle. Samantha showed up, tossing Joey some pizza dough, saying, “Now that you have the dough, I’m hoping you see that I’m the one that you knead.” Taylor showed up with a huge bra that was so big it could be a bead spread or something. Kyra showed up screaming in Joey’s face.
Zoey brought some different size bananas and asked Joey, “Which one do you resonate with the most?” Madina brought lots of tennis balls. Evalin showed up on a tennis umpire’s chair.
Daisy came in on a red pick up truck with a Christmas tree on it. Apparently, she grew up on a Christmas tree farm. Lea showed up with a special envelope, and everyone wanted to know what the heck was in it, but we would not find that out until much, much later.
After all the initial greetings ended, Joey went inside the house and greeted all the women. Then, he talked 1-on-1 with a lot of them. He talkd with Autumn. She told the private cams, “Joey is so real and authentic.” Joey talked with Erika. He complimented her dancing. He told the private cams, “She likes to have fun, and I love that.”
Joey talked with Jess. She told him, “I’m so here for you. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you.” Joey said, “I’m so happy you’re here,” and they kissed. Jess told the other girls about she and Joey’s kiss, and needless to say, a lot of them didn’t like it. Joey talked with Jenn. Joey told her, “I appreciate how much you’ve sacrificed to be here,” and they kissed.
Joey played pretend tennis with Madina. They appeared to have a lot of fun. Joey talked with Daisy. She told him, “I’m so stoked to be here with you.” Joey told the private cams, “Daisy is gorgeous and captivating. I want to know so much more.” They ended up kissing.
Jess tried to steal Joey away from Taylor while they were talking. Taylor told the private cams she was very annoyed by Jess, especially since she already talked to him. Jess told the private cams, “I hated that I interrupted Taylor’s time, but sometimes it just happens like that.”
Taylor ended up pulling Jess aside for a confrontational talk. Taylor tried to tell her she needs to respect other people and their time with Joey. Jess told the private cams, “If I could go back in time, I’d probably do it again.”
The sisters Lauren and Allison told all the other women that they are sisters, and some of the other women told the private cams that they thought it was really strange that they could try to date the same guy.
Joey talked with Lauren, and her own sister Allison came up to steal Joey from her. The other women thought it was hilarious. Allison ended up kissing Joey during their talk. Then, Lauren and Allison came up and told Joey that they are sisters. Joey said he kind of put it together because they have very similar stories and backgrounds.
Joey talked with Kelsey. They seemed to have a good talk. Now, back to Lea’s card. We finally got to see what was in it. She opened it and found out that it was some sort of advantage like they have on Survivor or Big Brother. It gave her the power to steal a 1 on 1 date from anyone before the Hometown dates week.
Lea found this power to be extremely upsetting. So, she went and let Joey know all about it, and she told him that she would not want to use it because she wants to respect the other women. She also wants to let Joey take his journey the way he wants. Joey told her, “I love your attitude about it.” After that, Lea went and told the other women about the steal a 1 on 1 date power card. Then, she took it and threw it in the fireplace to burn it. The other women thought that was really sweet.
Joey talked with Lexi. She told him about how she’s played golf since she was child. She also told him, “If you ever need someone to talk to, I got you,” and they kissed. Joey told the private cams that he was very impressed with Lexi’s maturity.
Joey talked with Maria. They talked about their favorite movies. Joey told the private cams, “Maria is a fire cracker with swagger that I’m drawn to. She will keep me on my toes.” They ended up kissing. Joey ended up pulling Lea aside to give her the first impression rose, and they kissed.
After all of that, it was time for the very first rose ceremony of this season. Joey gave: Daisy, Kelsey T., Lexi, Jess, Jenn, Autumn, Chrissa, Edwina, Kelsey A., Katelyn, Rachel, Erika, Madina, Sydney, Starr, Marlena, Maria, Taylor, Evalin, and Lauren a rose to join Lea who got the first impression rose earlier in the show.
That unfortunately meant that poor: Chandler, Kayla, Kyra, Lanie, Nat, Sam, Samantha, Sandra, Talyah, and Zoe did not get a rose and had to make their exits from the show. With that huge cut, the field of 32 women was instantly narrowed down to just 22 women.
