Survivor March 27, 2024 Voted Off Jem Hussain-Adams (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, March 27, 2024, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 46 did indeed hit the air, and we saw another contestant get voted off in a good old fashion blindside at the end.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with the Yanu tribe talking about getting rid of Bhanu at the last tribal council meeting. Tiffany told the private cams, “We couldn’t teach Bhanu how to play while trying to play the game we wanted to play.”
At the Siga tribe, Jem, Maria and Moriah started talking about how Ben and Charlie are really close. Charlie told the private cams, “Maria is my number one ally, and I want to keep it that way.”
At the Nami tribe, they were all searching for a hidden idol except for Liz. She told the private cams she could barely find her own shoes. Hunter ended up finding the beware advantage. He dug and found the locked box that contained the idol. So, he had to find the key to open it. He lost his vote at tribal council until he retrieved the idol.
At Yanu, Q told Kenzie he’s ready to give up and go home. However, he told the private cams he’s never giving up. He just doesn’t want Kenzie to know that so she doesn’t play her shot in the dark at a possible tribal council meeting.
At Siga, Tim told the private cams he doesn’t believe Jem and thinks she really has the hidden immunity idol. Jem told the private cams she thinks she’s been doing a good job lying about not having the hidden immunity idol.
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with the new immunity challenge. During it, each tribe member had to climb up a 3-level obstacle course, collect 3 bags of keys. Then, find the right key to unlock a hook. Use the hook to unravel a rope and release sand bags. Then, use the sand bags to knock down 3 targets via a large sling shot for the win.
Nami finished in first place. Yanu came from behind to take a long-awaited second place finish and avoid another tribal council meeting. The Siga tribe finished last and had to go to tribal council and vote somebody off.
The immunity challenge doubled as a reward challenge. Nami won pastries and fruit for their first place finish. Yanu won a smaller amount of pastries and fruit for their second place finish.
There was also another boat journey trip. Since Nami took first place, they were able to pick who went on this trip from each tribe. Hunter went for Nami, Tim went for Siga, and Q went for Yanu.
At the boat trip, Hunter, Tim and Q agreed to work together moving forward if they all make it to the merge by picking one other person to be a side alliance. Q told the private cams he wanted Tiffany to be his side alliance.
Hunter got hit with a challenge that required him to put some Survivor seasons in chronological order, and he lost. So, he lost his vote at the next tribal council meeting.
At Siga, they all went searching for a hidden immunity idol. Jem tried to complete her beware advantage clue to get her immunity idol so she didn’t lose her vote at the tribal council meeting, and she did find the key to unlock her box and get the idol without anyone else seeing her.
Jem, Maria and Moriah decided to target Ben by putting 3 votes on Ben and two on Tim. They told Charlie, and Charlie told the private cams he wants to keep Ben around. Ben told the private cams he thinks Jem will screw them all and wants to vote her off, but he doesn’t have a vote.
Ben pitched to Charlie and Maria to get rid of Jem. Charlie tried to pitch to Maria to keep Ben. Maria told the private cams, “I don’t trust Ben and Tim. I have more trust with Moriah and Jem.”
At the Siga tribal council meeting, they did some general game talk before casting their votes. Ben ended up getting 2 votes, and Jem got a whopping 4 votes. So with the 4 votes, Jem did get voted off. She didn’t say anything on the way out and just left quietly.
Jem told the private cams, “The dumbest move with an idol in my pocket. I was totally blindsided. It still felt good to trick everyone about the hidden immunity idol. They were right to vote me out.”
