First thing’s first. We’ve got an official title for this new episode 24 of 48 Hours season 37. It’s called, “The Troubled Case Against Jane Dorotik.”
In tonight’s new, March 30, 2024 episode 24, the 48 Hours team will take a deep look at a story about a woman named Jane Dorotik. She was convicted of murdering her husband way back in 2001. However, she always claimed she was innocent. After spending nearly two decades in prison, Jane and her legal team finally discovered major problems with some of the evidence that was presented during her trial. Correspondent Erin Moriarty handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
CBS’ official description for tonight’s new, March 29, 2024 episode 24 of 48 Hours season 37 reads like this, “In 2001, a California mother and wife, Jane Dorotik, was convicted of murdering her husband but always maintained her innocence.
From prison, Dorotik spent years filing motions asking for new testing of evidence, which was eventually done. Dorotik and her legal team say they discovered serious problems with some of that evidence. Correspondent Erin Moriarty followed the case for 24 years and reports on the outcome in 48 HOURS: “The Troubled Case Against Jane Dorotik.”
