Hey, “The Equalizer” fans. We’ve got some super great news for you in this report because the CBS people are going to finally serve up the next, new episode 5 of The Equalizer’s current season 4 tonight, March 31, 2024. Yep, after delaying it last week, CBS is going to make up for it tonight, and we’ve got some new spoiler scoops for it to run by you.

We were able to round up a couple of new, official teaser scoops for this new episode 5 via CBS’ official episode 5 press release synopsis. So, we’re going to dig into it for this spoiler session. Let’s get to it.

First thing’s first. We’ve got an official title for this new episode 5 of The Equalizer season 4. The writers named this one, “The Whistleblower.” It sounds like episode 5 will feature some very interesting, intense, dramatic, scandalous, emotional, possible action-filled and suspenseful scenes.

The first spoiler scoop reveals that Mell will get reunited with her brother Matthew. It will be revealed that Matthew’s former unit is participating in some very unethical activities. So, we’re going to see McCall give Matthew a helping hand in blowing the the whistle on his former, scandalous unit before it’s too late.

CBS’ official description for this whistleblowing plotline reads like this, “After Mel is reunited with her brother Matthew, McCall helps him blow the whistle on his former unit’s unethical practices before it’s too late.”

The second and final spoiler scoop for this new episode 5 lets us know that Aunt Vi and Trish will run into some heavy issues in this installment as their relationship will actually incur some damage due to Vi’s efforts to protect the true identity of McCall.

CBS’ description for Aunt Vi and Trish’s broken relationship debacle reads like this, “Aunt Vi and Trish’s relationship becomes fractured by Vi’s need to protect McCall’s true identity.”

Episode 5 will feature one guest star. That person is: Gloria Reuben as character Trish. Episode 5 was written by Joe Gazzam, and it was directed by MJ Bassett.

CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 5 of The Equalizer’s current season 4 is indeed scheduled to finally make it to the air tonight, March 31, 2024, starting at approximately 7 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).
