New 48 Hours September 7 Episode Preview Reveals Self Defense Murder And More
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back with some wonderful news for you guys because the people over at CBS have dug up another new, 48 Hours episode from the trenches to show you tonight, September 7, 2024. This new episode is the 32nd installment for this current season 37, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
As we previously reported, the new season 38 premieres on Saturday night, September 21, 2024. So, try to remember that very important date if you can. CBS gave us an official press release for tonight’s new episode 32. So, we will certainly dive into it for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
Tonight’s new episode 32 is officially titled, “The Case of the Black Swan.” In it, the 48 Hours team will take a deep look at a story about a former ballerina and model named Ashley Benefield. She went on trial back in July 2024 for charges of killing her husband Doug Benefield.
She claims it was self defense. The prosecutors claim is was cold blooded murder so she could get sole custody of their child. The 48 Hours crew is going to show Ashley tell the jury her side of the story and more.
CBS’ official description for this new episode 32 of 48 Hours season 37 reads like this, “Former ballerina and bikini model Ashley Benefield went on trial in July for killing her husband, Doug Benefield, and 48 HOURS was there for every moment of the gripping testimony. Now, for the first time on network television, viewers will be able to see her tell a jury at length what she says happened, in a special two-part 48 HOURS: “The Case of the Black Swan.”
An alternate description tells us, “48 HOURS” HAS STUNNING NEW DETAILS IN THE MURDER TRIAL OF FORMER BALLERINA ASHLEY BENEFIELD, WHO CLAIMS HER HUSBAND TRIED TO POISON HER WHILE SHE WAS PREGNANT AND THAT SHE SHOT HIM IN SELF-DEFENSE. Two-Part “The Case of the Black Swan” Features Benefield’s Courtroom Testimony.”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that 48 Hours is finally showing up with another new episode tonight, September 7, 2024 in the 9 pm central standard time slot. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. This episode is a one-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
