Survivor October 16 Voted Off Anika Dhar In A Very Emotional Blindside (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, October 16, 2024, another new episode for Survivor’s current season 47 did indeed hit the air, and we saw another unlucky contestant get voted off in a very emotional blindside. Seriously, it was not taken well, guys.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with footage of the Lavo tribe talking about the blindside that took place at the last tribal council meeting, which sent Kishan packing. Teeny told the private cams, “I’ve been bamboozled. I expected the vote to be Rome.”
Rome asked Teeny if she knew about the plan to get him out. She said she did, but she couldn’t do anything about it since she didn’t have a vote. Rome accused Teeny of still not having his back since she didn’t tell him about the plan.
Teeny apologized to Rome for not telling him about the plan to get him out, “but I do feel free from Kishan now,” she said. They appeared to hug and make up, but Rome told the private cams, “My trust with Teeny is 100 percent broken. I was more hurt by Kishan than anything. So, I was glad to steal his vote and get him out of here.”
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new reward challenge. There was a twist to it. They had them do a random draw to split them up into two teams of seven with mixed tribemembers. Teeny, Kyle, Sue, Sam, Rachel, Caroline and Tiyana were teamed up together. Rome, Sol, Genevieve, Andy, Sierra, Anika and Gabe were the seven people for the other team.
In this reward challenge, they had to go through an obstacle course and collect bags with keys. Maneuver a ladder off a platform. Use the ladder to climb and unclip some balls. Shoot the balls into some baskets. The first team to make 5 balls, won. The team of: Teeny, Kyle, Sue, Sam, Rachel, Caroline and Tiyana won. Their reward was a BBQ hot dog meal over at the sanctuary and an opportunity to bond with other members that were not in their tribe.
Rome told the private cams that he wants to target Teeny and get her out. Rome campaigned to Sol about it. He told Sol about Teeny’s amulet. Then, he said, “I wanna work with you, not Teeny.” Sol told the private cams, “I thought I could trust Teeny. I’m getting a big dose of humble pie right now.”
Rome campaigned to Genevieve about getting Teeny out. However, he lied to Genevieve by telling her that Sol pitched the idea of getting Teeny out instead of him. Genevieve told the private cams, “Teeny is the easiest for me to work with.” Then, Sol told Genevieve that Rome was actually the one who pitched the idea of getting Teeny out. So, Genevieve started thinking Rome’s value level is going down for her with all the lies.
At Lavo, Rome told the private cams,”There’s too many red flags with Teeny.” Elsewhere, Genevieve and Sol told Teeny about Rome’s plan to get her out.
At Tuku, Gabe told the private cams that he doesn’t trust Tiyana because she told everyone at the reward feast that Gabe played his idol. “I wanna see Tiyana go at the next tribal council,” he said.
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with the new immunity challenge. During it, they had to drag a very heavy net full of sandbags and coconuts to collect even more coconuts and sandbags. Throw sandbags at a puzzle until they knocked off every piece. Then, reassemble that same puzzle for the win.
The Tuku tribe won in first place. Lava won in second place. So, Gata lost and had to figure out who to vote off at the next tribal council meeting. Anika told the private cams, “I think our tribe will be better off without Andy.” Sam told the private cams, “I want Anika out of here because I don’t trust her.” Sierra was still up in the air about whether or not Andy is best for her game. So, Sam and Sierra argued about that before heading to the tribal council meeting.
At the Gata tribal council meeting, they just did some general game talk before casting their votes. Andy ended up getting one vote, and Anika got 3 votes. So, with the 3 votes, Anika did get voted off, and she was hella blindsided and shocked saying, “You’re kidding me, guys! Ok.” She asked Rachel if she knew about the plan to vote her off, and she said she didn’t. Then, Anika said,”Who owned this?” Sam, Andy and Sierra told her it was them who voted her off. She said, “Nah” on the way out and teared up.
Anika told the private cams, “I’m not gonna lie. I’m pretty devastated. I thought I could play them before they played me. I don’t know. I’m just very devastated.” Alright, guys. That is a wrap for this latest,”Survivor” TV show, recap report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
