Survivor December 4 Voted Off Caroline Vidmar In A Nasty Blindside (Recap)

Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, December 4, 2024, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 47 did indeed hit the air, and another unlucky contestant got voted off and into the jury via a nasty blindside.

Tonight’s new episode kicked off with the remaining contestants talking about the last tribal council meeting, which sent Kyle Ostwald packing for the jury. Sue told the private cams, “I’m on top of the world now that Kyle is gone. He was taking away all of our opportunities by winning all the time.”

Sam told the private cams, “I thought of Kyle as a good shield, but I was powerless to help him out at the last tribal council meeting.” Caroline told the private cams, “Me and Sue have all the tools we need to make it to the end. I can’t think of a better alliance member to go to the end with.”

Genevieve apologized to Andy for making him feel uncomfortable. Genevieve and Teeny talked. Their conversation didn’t go well. Teeny told the private cams, “Genevieve doesn’t respect my game. Genevieve or Sam are going home, and there’s nothing they can do about it.” Andy, Teeny and Rachel were seen making plans to get rid of Genevieve or Sam.

After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new reward challenge. During it, they had to untie sand bags. Maneuver a ball through a cage. Retrieve a second ball and crawl through a net tunnel. Land two balls on two perches without them falling off for the win. Sam ended up, winning it. His prize was an overnight trip to the sanctuary, which featured an Italian food feast with pizza, cheese, pepperoni, pasta, Caesar’s salad, red wine and more. Plus, a letter from home.

Sam chose to take Andy and Genevieve with him to the sanctuary food feast. At the reward feast, Sam told Andy he hasn’t been a good ally to him, and he wants to make up for that. They all got letters from home, which made them pretty emotional.

Teeny told Sue, Caroline and Rachel, Sam just quit the game by not taking her to the reward feast. Teeny told the private cams, “Sam needs to go home both strategically and personally. Sam basically left us four women to plan his demise.”

Back at the feast, Andy pitched a plan to Sam and Genevieve to flip on Rachel and take her out. They agreed to it. Sam told the private cams, “Andy is my hero right now.” Andy’s plan was even given a title called,”Operation: Italy.” It required Sam, Genevieve and Andy to put on one hell of an act to pull it off.

Genevieve had to make everyone believe she had an idol, so a split vote could be achieved. Sam had to pretend like he has no one and is a free agent. Andy had to make everyone suspicious that Genevieve has a hidden idol in an effort to split the vote.

Next, we saw Jeff Probst show up with another immunity challenge. During it, they had to balance a ball across a balance beam. Maneuver skulls through a metal cage. Navigate 3 balls into three holes on a wobbly table for the win. Rachel won it to foil Andy, Sam and Genevieve’s plans to get rid of her.

Andy told the private cams, “We gotta find a new target.” Sam, Genevieve and Andy decided to target Caroline since Rachel won immunity. Since Teeny didn’t want to do a split vote, she got very suspicious of Genevieve’s Idol (really a fake idol) and asked to see it. Teeny bought that Genevieve really had an idol after Genevieve showed her the fake idol, but Teeny was still happy because she still thought Sam was getting voted off.

Sue told Caroline, “I’m afraid for you. So, I’m going to play my idol on you if I think there’s a chance you’re going home.” Genevieve told the private cams that there are so many ways for the Operation Italy plan to go wrong. So, she was not totally confident it would work, going into the tribal council meeting.

At the tribal council meeting, they did some general game talk before casting their votes. Then, it was revealed that Sam got 2 votes. Genevieve received 2 votes and Caroline got 3 votes. So, with the 3 votes, Caroline was indeed voted off.

Andy’s Operation Italy plan was a success. They convinced the girls to do a split vote. Caroline was a good sport about it. She told them,”Well done you guys. It was a pleasure playing with all of you” on the way out.

Caroline told the private cams, “Andy flipped. He took me out, and I think it was smart. I didn’t win the ultimate prize, but I was able to live my dream.” How do you guys feel about Caroline getting voted off? Let us know in the comments section.
