New 60 Minutes December 22 Episode Preview Reveals Gun Trafficking, Pager Plot & More
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. It’s time, once again, for us to jump back on here and give you guys another new preview session for your favorite news show. In this one, we’re going to talk about what you guys can expect to see in the next, new episode 15 of this current season 57, which is due to hit the air tonight, December 22, 2024.
CBS put out an official press release for this new episode 15. So, we will certainly take a look at it for this preview session . Let’s get to it.
In this new episode 15, the 60 Minutes team will present a total of three, new segments. The first segment is titled, “THE PAGER PLOT.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “For the first time, ex-Mossad agents who led the exploding pager and walkie-talkie plot against Hezbollah, which garnered worldwide attention in September, detail their 10-year undercover op in an interview with correspondent Lesley Stahl.
Meeting in Israel, the agents, who recently retired from service, share never-before-known details that caught Hezbollah fighters by surprise and ultimately spurred change across the region from Lebanon to Syria to Iran. Shachar Bar-On is the producer.”
The second segment is titled, “THE IRON RIVER.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “With an estimated 200,000 to half a million U.S. firearms smuggled into Mexico each year through what’s known as “the Iron River,” correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi reports on Mexico’s legal battle against American gun manufacturers and dealers and the efforts to curb gun trafficking to the cartels. Katie Kerbstat is the producer.”
The 3rd and final segment for this new episode 15 is titled, “JOY TO THE WORLD.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “At 25, with a powerful voice heralded as a once-in-a-generation talent, jazz vocalist Samara Joy is already making her mark in a genre that was last popular over 50 years ago.
Correspondent Bill Whitaker caught up with Joy on her Christmas tour where she was joined by her family, a gospel dynasty. 60 MINUTES has a front row seat as the GRAMMY winner puts her own spin on the jazz classics. Heather Abbott and LaCrai Mitchell Scott are the producers.”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 15 of 60 Minutes’ current season 57 is indeed scheduled to make its way to your TV screens tonight, December 22, 2024 in the 6:30 pm central standard time slot, or after CBS’ LIVE coverage of an NFL football game. Whichever comes first.
