The Conners New Season 8 Is Not Happening. ABC Canceled It
According to Deadline.com, The Conners’ 6th episode of its current season 7 will be the last one to air forever as it has been canceled by ABC.
This news was actually reported back in May of 2024 when ABC gave it a season 7 renewal order. They only renewed it for 6 episodes as a farewell/goodbye to the show. To note, we heard from some other sources that ABC didn’t actually cancel The Conners, but that it was more of the show ending itself.
ABC released a promo for this farewell season, which contained the words, “You’ve been part of this family for years. After 6 seasons, be there to say goodbye.”
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, The Conners season 7 averaged 3.012 million LIVE viewers per episode along with a 0.31 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 4 , which aired last Tuesday night, April 16, 2025, managed to draw in 2.835 million LIVE viewers.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 3.243 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 4 with 2.835 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.34 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 4 with a 0.26 ratings score. RIP (Rest In Peace) The Conners.
