Doc New Season 3 Is Happening. FOX Renewed It For 22 New Episodes

Earlier tonight, April 14, 2026, FOX aired the season finale episodes 21 and 22 of Doc’s current season 2. So, that begs the question of will there be a new season 3 to look forward to?

According to the people over at Deadline.com , and their sources, we can happily confirm with you, right now, that the answer to that question is a resounding “yes.” FOX did indeed renew Doc for a brand new season 3.

The renewal announcement actually happened back in March 2026. We’re also being told that FOX gave it a full 22-episode order. So, it’s definitely getting another full season. We expect to see the new season 3 debut this Fall 2026. Barbie Kligman and Hank Steinberg will stay on as the show’s current co-showrunners.

Michael Thorn who is the President of FOX made a very positive statement about the show and its staff during the renewal announcement saying, “Doc has become a true breakout for Fox, delivering our largest scripted multi-platform audience of the season and building remarkable momentum across Fox, Hulu, Netflix, and internationally — earning it another 22-episode order.
