Chicago PD New Season 14 Is Happening. NBC Renewed It

Tonight, May 13, 2026, NBC is airing the 21st episode of Chicago PD’s current season 13, and it will be the finale episode. So, we checked to see what is the renewal status for this show, and we’re happy to tell you that NBC did officially serve up a new season 14 renewal order for it, and they did it quite early too.

According to a recent report from the people over at Deadline.com , and their sources, NBC decided to renew the series back in March 2026. So, the were definitely quite pleased with its season 13 performance.

They were also happy with the other Chicago shows: Chicago Med and Chicago PD as they renewed both of them for new seasons as well. It will be season 12 for Chicago Med, and season 15 for Chicago Fire.

We’re being told that all the Chicago shows are slated to premiere in the Fall of 2026 sometime. Currently, NBC hasn’t released an episode count for any of the new seasons. So, we’ll have to give that info to you at later date when it becomes available from NBC.

According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, Chicago PD season 13 averaged 4.344 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.28 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.

The most-viewed episode was episode 13 with 6.117 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 8 with 3.838 million LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was episode 13 with a 0.39 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 11 with a 0.22 ratings score.

Again, NBC officially renewed Chicago PD for a brand new season 14 that’s slated to premiere in the Fall of 2026. That is a wrap for this latest, “Chicago P.D.” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
