Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionist Episode 2 Lost Even More Ratings And Viewers
Hey, “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” fans. Well, we were certainly hoping to have much better news to share with you guys this week after the premiere episode didn’t deliver great live ratings and viewership numbers. However, it was as speculated, the show lost even more viewers and ratings for its second episode!
It was speculated this would happen due to the intrigue factor. More people usually tune in for the premiere episodes to see what’s up so to speak. Then for whatever reason, a lot of that audience just disappears.
That was definitely the unfortunate case with The Perfectionists. They lost a whopping half of its already very small premiere show audience! During the premiere, they drew in only 0.457 million viewers, which is in the neighborhood of around 457,000 viewers.
According to the folks over at TVseriesfinale.com, the second episode only drew in a very disappointing 0.235 million viewers, which is only around 235,000. Their ratings score for the 18-49 demographic also dropped quite a bit from 0.18 in the first episode to 0.09! Ouch!
Guys, I’m going to be straight up with you. This is not good at all for live ratings. I mean these latest numbers actually drop “The Perfectionists” down to one of the lowest rated and viewed shows on the Freeform network right now.
If this continues or gets worse, it’s really hard to see Freeform renewing this show. There is talk about the DVR streaming numbers possibly saving the show. Maybe there’s a lot of fans that prefer to just DVR it and watch it later. But at just 237,000 live viewers, it would take whole freaking lot of DVR viewers to get this show to where it needs to be.
The folks over at Cartermatt.com pointed out that The Perfectionists already missed out on a shot at a renewal announcement at a recent network summit event. During that event, Freeform revealed that Siren and Grown-ish would be returning for new seasons. They also gave out some return dates for them.
Headlineplanet.com pointed out that Freeform’s Shadowhunters never even delivered numbers as low as The Perfectionists, and Shadowhunters got canceled for a new season 4. So, it looks like it’s going to take a freaking miracle for The Perfectionists to get out of this very bad patch.
We’re still waiting to hear anything we can from Freeform about what they think about these very low, live ratings numbers. I’m guessing that ,right now, they’re still holding out some kind of hope as they have only aired two episodes so far. I would say that’s the biggest positive of this whole thing. It’s still really early.
I’m hoping that these low numbers can at least stabilize from here, and then maybe start to have an uptick after that. However, if their live ratings and viewership numbers drop even more after the third episode, I could definitely see some big trouble for the life of this show.
On a positive note, The Perfectionists is getting great reviews from users on IMDB.com. Out of around 772 users, it’s averaging a 7.8 out of 10 score. So, whoever is watching this show, seems to really enjoy it. On Rottentomatoes.com, the users have given it a average ratings score of 94 percent. We suspect that is coming from the Pretty Little Liars very loyal fanbase.
With all that said, we will definitely keep our fingers crossed really tight for this show. We really want it to succeed. We will be waiting patiently to see how this third episode performs in the live ratings and viewership numbers. It’s scheduled to air this Wednesday night, April 3,2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on Freeform.
You guys be sure to tell a friend. Hell, a few friends. Maybe a few thousand friends if you have them. If all you guys can do that, maybe we can get these live viewership numbers up.
Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists report, but definitely stay tuned for more.

The show is available all over the place, so I’m not sure how it’s all counted. I missed the pilot, since there weren’t ads or anything that I saw, so to catch up I was told I could watch the show on Hulu, or the Freeform app. I watched via the app, and DVR’d the rest of the season.
I really hope the show gets a real chance, there is so much potential there.
