Amazing Race October 28, 2020 Eliminated Jerry & Frank Eaves (Recap)
Hey,”Amazing Race” fans. Tonight, October 28, 2020, another new episode of the Amazing Race season 32 did indeed air,and another unlucky team was sent packing when it was all said and done.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with the teams having to fly to Manuas, Brazil. It was pointed out that the teams still had their 10 and 20 minute hour glasses from the last episode. So, the yield twist was still in play. Also, a couple of the teams decided to work together and help each other out.
Once the teams got to Manuas, Brazil, they had to head to the Manuas market to get their first clue for this leg of the race.
Once the teams got to the Manuas market, they had to search the market and retrieve 11 items that were written in Portuguese to get their next clue.
Once they completed the market task, they had to go to the Dessana Village to get their next clue. When they arrived there, they ran into Detours, which were named: “Shelter from trees” or “Well Done Please.”
In the “Shelter With Trees” detour, the teams had to use babassu palm leaves to correctly cover a section of a hut’s roof for a chief.
In the “Well Done Please” challenge, they had to use the items they bought from the market to correctly prepare a meal.
It was revealed that Jerry and Frank forgot their bags back at the Manuas market, and they needed them for the Detours challenge. So, they had to go back and get them, wasting lots of valuable time.
A Double U-turn was revealed at this point in the race. Will & James decided to U-turn Leo and Alana. Kaylynn and Haley decided to U-turn Frank and Jerry to give Leo and Alana a fighting chance. Kaylynn & Haley said they owed Leo & Alana a favor.
The U-Turn caused Leo & Alana to have to go back and do the “Shelter From Trees” challenge as well. They did it wrong. So, they had to do it again, losing even more time. Jerry & Frank had to also do the “Shelter from Trees” detour due to the U-turn they got from Kaylynn & Haley.
Meanwhile,the rest of the teams headed by boat to the pit stop for this leg of the race. Will & James took first place, and won a trip for 2 to Bali from Travelocity.
Hung and Chee took second place. Kaylynn & Haley came in 3rd place. Maddison & Riley finished in 4th place. Gary & DeAngelo claimed the 5th spot. Eswar & Arpata took 6th place. Michelle & Victoria came in 7th place. Leo & Alana were able to make it back for the all-important 8th place. That left poor Jerry & Frank to finish last, and they were indeed eliminated for it by host Phil Keoghan
