The Bachelor January 31, 2022 Eliminated Elizabeth, Melina & Kira (Recap)
Hey, “Bachelor Nation” fans. Tonight, January 31, 2022, another new episode of The Bachelor 2022 edition with headliner Clayton Echard did indeed air, and some very unlucky ladies did get sent packing.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with the ladies talking about Shanae and her issues. Clayton told the private cams, “I need to address the issues with Elizabeth and Shanae because it’s effecting my time that I get to spend with the other ladies.”
Clayton eventually showed up to pull Elizabeth and Shanae for a talk about what their problem is. Clayton told them, “I do feel a connection with the both of you, but I can’t move forward until we resolve this conflict.”
Eventually, Shanae and Elizabeth started arguing back and forth again. Shanae brought up her issue with the shrimp thing again, and kept claiming that Elizabeth was causing all the other girls to be mean to her and that Elizabeth is a bully. From there, Clayton got fed up and walked away. He told the private cams, “They’re not resolving anything. They’re just fighting over shrimp.”
The other women tried to talk with Shanae ,but she refused saying, “I don’t wanna talk about it.” The women complained to Shanae about ruining the cocktail party. Genevieve totally went off on Shanae for ruining things. Then, host Jesse Palmer told the women that Clayton is exhausted and canceled the cocktail party. Genevieve told the private cams, “Shanae is the problem, and I hope Clayton sees that.”
Elizabeth started crying saying, “I feel so bad that I might be apart of Clayton canceling the cocktail party, and I might go home.” Elizabeth told the private cams, “Clayton doesn’t deserve this. I feel like I’m apart of it, and I hate that.”
Marlena, Teddi, Rachel, Mara, Sierra, Susie, Jill, Serene, Genevieve, Hunter, Lyndsey, and Shanae got a rose to join Gabby, Sarah, and Eliza who received roses earlier in last week’s episode. That means poor: Elizabeth, Melina and Kira didn’t get roses and had to make their exits.
During her exit, Elizabeth was so sweet, telling Clayton, “I really hope you find what you’re looking for. Absolutely.” Meanwhile, crazy Shanae told the private cams, “This is what happens if you mess with me. You’ll get sent home crying. Don’t f#%ck with me.” Then, she snapped her finger. Ugh, it was disgusting.
The rest of the women said, “Justice wasn’t served.” Gabbi said, “I don’t trust Shanae.” Shanae told the women, “I feel so much better that Elizabeth is gone. I feel like I can breathe.” Next, we saw host Jesse Palmer tell the women that they’re going to Houston,TX. They were so excited.
Next, we got footage of Clayton getting a visit from his best friend Clarence, and they talked. Clarence gave Clayton some advice by telling him, “Make sure the women will be a rock to support you through hard times.”
After the Clayton and Clarence segment, Clayton took Rachel on a 1 on 1 date. Rachel greeted Clayton with a huge hug and kiss. They went horseback riding. Then, they joined some people that were having a barbecue. They were very welcoming. So, Clayton and Rachel had a good time with them.
At one point, Clayton and Rachel talked. Clayton told her, “I’ve had such a good time with you.” Rachel reciprocated those words, and they kissed. Rachel told the private cams, “I have very strong feelings for Clayton, and it scares me because it’s happening so fast.”
During the second half of Clayton and Rachel’s date, they talked some more over dinner. Clayton told Rachel, “This date couldn’t have gone better. The more I talk to you, the more questions I have. A woman so cool as you makes me keep wondering why you’re here?
Rachel said, “I didn’t have the best previous relationship. He was not supportive and cheated on me. That showed me what I never want to experience again. I really do think you can make it work with the right person. The more we’re together, I feel like we’re supposed to be here.” Clayton said, “I would never ever hold you back from doing something that you love,” and they kissed.
Rachel told the private cams, “Spending time with Clayton feels so fun and natural.” Next, Clayton and Rachel slow danced and kissed to a private concert by a band named Restless Road. Clayton gave Rachel a rose, and he told the private cams, “I can see myself growing old with Rachel.”
The women complained about crazy Shanae never apologizing for ruining the cocktail party. They all said she’s toxic, and they started planning to tell Clayton how bad she is. Shanae overheard them, and she obviously didn’t like that.
Next, we saw footage of: Sarah, Eliza, Teddi, Marlena, Jill, Susie, Mara, Sierra, Hunter, Lyndsey, Genevieve, Gabby, and Shanae going on their group date with Clayton. During it, Jonathan Greenard and Kamu Grugier-Hill from the NFL Houston Texans to tell the women that they’re playing a real tackle football game.
They were split up into teams of two to compete. The winning team got more time with Clayton, and the losing team had to go back home. Also, legendary sports anchor Hanna Storm showed up to join Jesse Palmer to commentate.
During the game, Sierra kept tackling Shanae when she didn’t have the football. So, Shanae tackled her back. It was quite noticeable too everyone that they were having some issues.
During the afterparty, Clayton and Teddi talked. She expressed that she’s been feeling a little insecure at times. Clayton told Teddi, “You just need to keep being you. That’s it,” and they kissed. Teddi told the private cams, “I feel like me and Clayton are just in tune with each other. I really like him.” Sierra kept telling the other girls that they need to team up and let Clayton know how bad Shanae really is.
During some 1 on 1 time, Sierra told Clayton how bad for him she thinks Shanae is. Genevieve followed suit with some bad things to say about Shanae. Meanwhile, Shanae decided to go ruin the afterparty even though she was on the losing team that got sent home.
Clayton had a good conversation with Sarah saying, “I appreciated what I saw from you, today.” Then, Shanae stormed in to interrupt them. Clayton told Shanae, “You were on the losing team, right?” Shanae said, “No, I’m on the winning team,” and Clayton seemed very weirded out in that moment.
Sarah went back and told the other women that Shanae crashed the afterparty and interrupted her and Clayton’s chat. Clayton mentioned to Shanae that some of the women have a problem with her. Then, Clayton asked Shanae, “Why is this drama still happening with you?”
Shanae told Clayton about how she overheard the other women plotting to get her sent home. “Why are people trying to knock me down again,” she said. Then, Shanae started flirting with Clayton, and he seemed to reciprocate as they started kissing.
After that, Shanae was seen flipping out ,and she told the women, “Keep my d#%mn name out of your mouth! Then, she picked up their game trophy and tossed it! Shanae told the private cams, ” This is the Shanae show, not The Bachelor.” Then, we got the “To Be Continued” message.
The next, new episode of The Bachelor 22 edition with headliner Clayton Echard is scheduled to air next Monday night, February 7, 2022 at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
