Survivor March 30, 2022 Voted Off Swati Goel (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, March 30, 2022, another new episode of Survivor season 42 did hit the air, and we saw another unlucky contestant get the boot from the island in the end.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with some conversation footage from the Vati tribe after their last tribal council meeting that featured them voting off Jenny Kim after a very messy, two revotes. Daniel told the private cams, “Tribal council was a disaster. My trust in Chanelle wasn’t reciprocated. I feel like I totally screwed things up.”
Chanelle got upset at Daniel for calling her out at tribal council. Hai told the private cams, “I feel blindsided by everyone except Lydia.” Hai and Mike talked and said Daniel is way on the bottom of their list right now. They totally lost trust in Daniel.
Mike told Daniel, “You played me. I’m not mad about it. Just tell me it was game play, and I’m fine with it.” Daniel said, “Chanelle was my number 1, and I regret trusting her now.”
Next, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new Rewards Challenge. During it, 3 tribemembers were attached to braided rope. They had to unravel the rope from two platforms. Then, they had to toss a hook onto a sled that contained 4 balls. Use the hook to pull it in. Then, they had to shoot the 4 balls in a basket for the win. Rocksroy and Chanelle sat out of this challenge due to there being too many people.
The Taku tribe won this Rewards challenge in stunning fashion. For their efforts, they won 10 fresh fish. Later on at the Taku tribe, Marryanne and Ovi told the private cams they were angry at Jonathan for telling Jeff they are a tight four at the rewards challenge. Jonathan told the private cams, “I’m hoping my abilities will be seen as me helping them.”
At the Ika tribe, Swati started campaigning to Tori to target Drea. Tori said she doesn’t like working with Rocksroy because she thinks he’s a narcissist. She said, “He thinks only his way is the right way.” Later on, Tori told Rocksroy that Drea has an extra vote. Rocksroy told the private cams, “I don’t trust Tori,” and he told Drea that Tori ratted out her extra vote to him.
Drea didn’t like that. So, she told Swati and Romeo that Tori ratted out her extra vote. That made Swati say, “I can’t work with Tori because I can’t go down with her. She got busted.” They all started making plans to target Tori.
Next, we saw Jeff Probst ,again, to serve up the new immunity challenge. In this one, two tribe members were tethered to a boat, and they had to carry 2 other tribe members via swimming through the water to collect keys off a platform.
Once they collected the keys, they had swim them back to shore. Then, use the keys to unlock puzzle pieces. Finally, they had to use the puzzle pieces to put together yet another puzzle for the win. Romeo and Daniel sat out of this challenge due to there being too many people.
The Taku tribe ended up finishing this immunity challenge in first place. The Vati tribe took second place. That means Ika finished last, and they had to figure out who to vote out next. They also lost their flint.
At the Ika tribe, Rocksroy told the private cams, “Tori can’t be trusted. So, she’s going home tonight.” Tori told Romeo that Swati ratted out an alliance he’s in with Drea and Swati. Romeo didn’t like that. So, he started campaigning to Drea to get rid of Swati saying, “Swati’s playing both sides. She’s dangerous, and she’s planning to split us up.” Drea agreed. So, the fix was in. They also figured out that Swati was telling everyone, “You’re my number one.” So, Romeo and Drea brought Tori in to plot a scheme to vote Swati out at tribal council.
Swati sensed that something might be up. So, she started campaigning to Drea to get Tori out. Swati told Drea that Tori was trying to get her out. Meanwhile, Rocksroy told Drea he’s sticking with voting Tori out because he doesn’t trust her.
At the Ika tribal council meeting, Swati called out Tori for trying to blindside Drea. So, they started arguing about it. Swati said, “I’m not going home for something Tori tried to do. I’m doing what I said I was going to do, and I hope everyone can trust me so we can move on as a more unified tribe.” Rocksroy said he trusts Swati because she’s usually very shy and for her to be very vocal says a lot.
Before Jeff Probst read off the vote count, Swati played her shot in the dark die, which gave her a 1 out 6 chance at being safe. Unfortunately for her, she drew a “not safe” note. So, all votes for Swati still counted.
Finally, it was revealed that Swati received 3 votes, and Tori got 1 vote. So, by a vote of 3-1, Swati Goel got voted off Survivor season 42 in tonight’s March 30, 2022 episode. How do you guys feel about that? Let us know in the comments section.
The next, new Survivor season 42 episode is scheduled to air next Wednesday night, April 6, 2022 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on CBS.
