Tough As Nails February 15, 2023 Eliminated Ilima From Individual Competitions (Recap)
Hey, “Tough As Nails” fans. Tonight, February 15, 2023, another new episode of Tough As Nails’ current season 4 did arrive, and we saw another unlucky contestant get eliminated from the individual competitions, losing their chance at winning the grand prize of $200,000 dollars and a new Ford pickup truck.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with another team challenge. In this one, they had to clean up some dirty alleyways. Ellery was team leader for the Dirty Hands team during this challenge, and Ilima was team lead for the Savage Crew team. During this challenge, they had to separate appliances, waste, tires, mattresses and more into separate trucks. Then, they had to clean away all the debris from their area with a pressure hose for the win.
This one was another really close race. It came down to the wire ,once again, but the Savage Crew was just a little bit better again, and they claimed the win to take the overall team wins 5-3. With that win, they won the $60,000 bonus prize along with another $12,000 dollars for this particular team challenge. However, host Phil Keoghan did tell the Dirty Hands team that there will be another team challenge in which they could still at least get another shot to win another $12,000 dollars.
Next up, was the individual challenge. In this one, they had to fix a water main pipe leak. They were all paired into teams of two. Mister picked Ilima and she accepted. Then, Larron & Jake agreed to team up. That left Ellery & Jorge as a team by default.
During this challenge, Larron and Jake did run into some issues with a flapper valve, but they definitely worked through that issue in spades since they were eventually able to actually finish this challenge first to claim the win, and they were awarded $4,000 dollars each for their efforts. Jorge and Ellery took 2nd place to narrowly escape having to do the Overtime challenge.
Poor Ilima & Miser did indeed finish last, so they had to do the Overtime challenge to fight for their lives in the individual competitions. In the Overtime challenge, Mister and Ilima had to unclog a sewer pipe by using a long stick tool to pick items out of it like: hammers, cell phones, car keys and a toy alligator. Whoever picked those five items out first, won.
Ilima got off to a great start. She was well in the lead, but unfortunately, she accidentally pushed two of her items out of sight, so she couldn’t get to them, and Mister was easily able to go ahead and win it to stay alive in the individual competitions. Ilima was eliminated from individual competitions.
Afterwards, Mister said, “I’m not happy about the way I won this.” Ilima told Mister, “I couldn’t have asked for a better competitor, and you should be proud of yourself.” Ilima told the private cams, “I can’t hold my head down. I appreciate making it this far. I’m proud of myself for even taking this step to come here. I will take everything I learned with me.”
