FBI International Season 2 May 23, 2023 Episode 22 Is The Finale.Season 3 Is Happening
Hey, “FBI: International” fans. We’ve got some good and bad news for you guys in this article. The bad news is that FBI: International did officially wrap up its current season 2 tonight. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 22 was indeed the finale episode. So, you guys are going to have to wait a pretty good while before you get to see another new episode of FBI: International.
The good news is that you will, in fact, get to see another new episode of FBI: International at some point in the future because we can officially tell you that CBS did renew FBI: International for a brand new season 3! That’s right, guys. You will be getting another new stock pile of FBI: International episodes next season.
According to Deadline.com , all the FBI shows were actually given two-season renewals last year. So, there was actually never any doubt that FBI: International would be continuing on after this season 2.
During the renewal announcement for all of the FBI shows, the president of CBS Entertainment Kelly Kahl had these wonderful words to say about the shows stating, “The FBIs are one of the most successful brands in the entire TV landscape and a powerful cornerstone of our number one lineup.
They’ve attracted a dedicated, loyal fan base, thanks to the extraordinary vision of executive producer Dick Wolf and the talents of all three outstanding casts and creative teams. I know we and our viewers look forward to two additional seasons of engaging, heroic stories.”
The creator of the FBI shows Dick Wolf expressed his gratitude at the time saying, “Everybody who works on these three shows is over the moon about the multi-year pickups. We are all incredibly grateful to CBS and our partners at Universal Television and CBS Studios.
And I personally would like to thank the incredible casts, talented writers and dedicated producers, not to mention three crews who never missed an airdate despite the difficulties of producing full seasons during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, FBI: International season 2 averaged 5.685 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.41 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 21, which aired last Tuesday night, May 16, 2023, managed to draw in 5.466 million LIVE viewers.
The most-viewed episode was episode 16 with 6.507 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 13 with 5.215 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.50 ratings score. The lowest-rated episodes were episodes 15 and 20. They both tied for last place with a 0.34 ratings score. So, that was indeed a very strong performance as CBS expected.
