The Bachelorette August 19, 2024 Eliminated Jeremy Simon In Hometowns (Recap)
Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, August 19, 2024, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2024 edition with headliner Jenn Tran hit the air, and we saw one unlucky guy get the shaft at the end. Tonight’s new episode kicked off with Jenn going to see Devin over in Houston, Texas.
He took her to do some running through the park,and they met some of Devin’s friends in the process. Devin told the private cams, “I like how Jenn got along with my friends.” At one point, they talked about meeting his family. After that, we got footage of Devin taking Jenn to meet his family. They greeted her with hugs and smiles.
Devin’s mother Jennifer told the private cams that Jenn seems delightful from her first impression of her. Devin talked with his father. Devin told him, “I do see Jenn as somebody I can see the rest of my life with.” Devin’s father told him, “I just worry about the relationships Jenn has going on with the other guys.”
Jenn talked with Devin’s mother. Jenn talked with her about what she and Devin related about. Jenn went on to tell her, “I feel very strongly for Devin, and I can definitely see a future with him.”
Devin talked with his mother Jennifer. He told her, “This has been a weird experience for me. It bothers me that there are other guys still in the picture. I do love her. This is the first time I’m in love for real.” Devin’s Mom told him, “Do not hold back and tell Jenn you love her.” Jennifer told the private cams, “If Devine really wants to be the one, he’s got to take the risk and let Jenn know how he’s really feeling.”
After all of that, Jenn and Devin talked again to close out their hometown date. He told her, “I love you.” She said, “That make me feel really giddy and happy. I’m falling real hard for you, and I really do see a future with you,” and they kissed.
Next Jenn went to see Jeremy in Fairfield, Connecticut. He took her to a grocery store that had animitronics and other entertaining gimmicks. They had a very playful time in there. Jenn told the private cams, “Jeremy seems to have the right qualities I’m looking for.” At one point, they ate some food and met Jeremy’s aunt.
Next, we got footage of Jeremy taking Jenn to meet his family. They greeted her with hugs and smiles. Jenn talked with Jeremy’s sister. Jenn told her, Jeremy and I always have a good time together, but we haven’t expressed our feelings for each other yet. I feel like he’s holding back a bit.” Jeremy’s sister told the private cams, “I feel like Jenn and Jeremy should’ve gotten to the point that they’ve expressed their feelings for each other by now.”
Jeremy talked with his sister. She told him that Jenn said he has walls up. Jeremy was surprised to hear that. Jeremy talked with his mom Karen. He told her, “I’m fully comfortable around Jenn.” Karen told him, “You need to take this more serious. You two have fun, but what else?”
Jenn talked with Jeremy’s mother. She told her, “We always have the best time together,” but she implied that she is worried about how they would be beyond the show. Jeremy’s mom implied to her that this needs to be taken more serious and isn’t sure how they are as a couple beyond the show.
To wrap this hometowns date up, Jeremy told Jenn, “I am falling for you, and I genuinely enjoy being with you.” Jenn said, “You’re so sweet,” and they kissed. Jenn told the private cams, “This was a hard date. I was left with questions after his family seemed skeptical of us as a couple.”
Next, Jenn went to see Jonathon in San Diego, California. They greeted each other with big hugs and kisses. He took her to go play lacrosse. Afterwards, they talked. He told her he’s not ready to use the word love yet because he doesn’t take that word lightly. Jenn told the private cams, “That make me a little worried, but hopefully we can get there.”
Jonathon took Jenn to meet his family. Jenn talked with Jonathon’s brother Zach. She told him, “I feel like Jonathon and I are on the cusp of falling for each other.”
Jenn talked with Jonathon’s mother Lisa. Jenn told her, “I think Jonathon and I have built a lot of groundwork, but I think he’s holding back a bit because of his past relationship.” Jonathon’s mom told the private cams, “I think Jenn is great.”
Jonathon talked with his sister Kristy. She told him, “Jenn seems really wonderful. You gotta let her know how you feel.”
Jonathon talked with his mom. She told him Jenn said you’re cautious, and she’s worried about that. He said, “I’ve been waiting to get your opinions on this before I really tell her how I feel.”
To wrap up this date, Jenn and Jonathon talked. He told her, “I am falling for you.” Jenn said, “I’m falling for you too,” and they kissed. Jenn told the private cams, “I’m so excited that Jonathon is falling for me. He could be my husband at the end of this.”
Jenn went to see Marcus over in Tacoma, Washington. He took her for a walk, and they talked about meeting his family. He said his adoptive parents would not be there. Then, Marcus took Jenn to meet his family.
Marcus told the private cams, “I’m impressed to see how Jenn so easily fits in with my family.” Marcus talked with his friend. He told him, “I’m not in love with Jenn yet, but I’m hopeful that it will happen.”
Jenn talked with his sister Gabby. She told Gabby, “Marcus and I have a nice connection. I really care about him, but I’m not really sure about how he feels about me.” Gabby told her, “I know he has some walls up because of what he’s been through.”
Jenn said, “I can picture myself being in love with Marcus, but I’ve been holding back because I don’t want to get my heart broken. I’ve been there.” Gabby told Jenn, “I genuinely think Marcus is happy in this,” and they hugged. Gabby told the private cams, “I think Jenn could be the one.”
Gabby told Marcus, “I like Jenn. She’s very nice and sweet.” He told her, “The speed of this show is making it hard for me.” Gabby told him, “You might need to let your guard down a little bit because it could be worth it.” Jenn told the private cams, “I feel so welcome with Marcus’ family. I could see Marcus’ family being my own one day.”
To wrap up this date, Marcus told Jenn, “I am falling for you. You make me very happy.” Jenn told the private cams, “I’m so happy to hear those words from Marcus.” She told him, “I’m falling for you too,” and they kissed. Marcus told private cams, “Jenn is everything I ever wanted.” Jenn told the private cams, “I can truly envision a future with Marcus and his family. It feels like everything is falling into place.”
Jeremy, Devin, Marcus and Jonathon all met up to talk about their hometown date at one point. After that, we saw the Rose ceremony footage. During it, Jenn gave Devin, Jonathon and Marcus a rose. That meant poor Jeremy did not get a rose. So, he was eliminated.
Jenn walked Jeremy out. Jeremy told her, “It sucks, but I had the best time.” Jenn said,”All the moments we’ve had mean so much to me.” Jeremy said,”I know whoever is in there will take care of you. This sucks, but I really just want you to be happy. You’ll always have a place in my heart,” and they hugged goodbye. Jenn told the private cams,”I just didn’t see a future fully there with Jeremy.”
