Survivor December 11 Voted Off Andy Rueda & Genevieve Mushaluk (Recap)
Hey, ‘Survivor” fans. Tonight, December 11, 2024, another new episode for Survivor’s current season 47 did indeed hit the air, and two unlucky contestants got voted off by the time it was all over.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with some conversations about the last tribal council meeting, which sent Caroline packing and off to the jury. Sue told the private cams, “I lost my only Tuku member when Carloine left. I wanna rip Andy’s head off his shoulders for flipping.”
Andy told the private cams, “I pulled off the biggest move of this season.” Genevieve told the private cams, “I should not be sitting here today. “Operation: Italy” was a long shot, and it worked.”
Teeny told the private cams, “We had a plan, and Andy flipped on us. That was insane of him to do. I have no idea where I am in this game right now. I want to work with Sam, Andy and Genevieve to get Rachel out. I have to adapt.” Andy did some damage control with Teeny at one point.
Rachel spied on Andy, Genevieve, Sam and Teeny. She overheard them trying to plot out her demise. Rachel went back and told Sue what she found out. Rachel told Sue that Teeny’s trying to work with Sam, Genevieve and Andy now.
Sue told the private cams that she needs to find an idol. So, she went looking for one. However, Rachel told her she has the idol and to stop looking. Sue told the private cams, “I trust Rachel. She’s told me so much.” Rachel told Sue, “I think we can trick Sam, Andy and Genevieve. We have to pretend that Teeny is still with us.”
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new immunity challenge. During it, they had to leap into the ocean. Gather up buoys. Get the buoy through a water obstacle, and complete a puzzle for the win. Genevieve won it.
This immunity challenge also doubled as a reward challenge. The prize was a trip to the sanctuary for steak, baked potatoes, etc feast. Genevieve chose Sue and Teeny to go with her to the feast.
At the feast, Genevieve told the private cams, “I need to convince Sue and Teeny that Rachel is the biggest threat.” Sue told the private cams, “I’m with Rachel, and she’s playing her idol. Whoever we decide to vote for, goes home.”
Sam told Rachel, “I didn’t feel like I was part of your future plans. So, I had to find another way to move forward in this game.” Rachel said,”I’m pissed, but not at you. It’s just because things are so close.” Rachel tried to convince Andy that Sam has a better chance at winning in the end than her. So, she would be a better person to take to the end.
Sue and Rachel tried to sway Andy to their side for the tribal council meeting. Andy told the private cams that he was thinking about it.
Sue and Rachel plotted to use Rachel’s block a vote on Sam, and to target Sam. Andy ultimately told Rachel he’s voting her off. Then, he decided to explain his game to her for some type of jury management angle. Rachel told the private cams, “Andy made me rethink targeting Sam and target him instead, because he’s playing a better game than I gave him credit for.”
At the Tribal council meeting, they mostly did some general game talk. Most of them confirmed that they’re voting off Rachel except for Sue. Rachel played her idol on herself. So, no votes against her counted.
Rachel got 3 votes, which did not count, and Andy got 2 votes that did count. So, with those two votes, Andy did get voted off. He said, “Good job” to Rachel. Rachel told Andy, “You were very convincing. Just not the way you thought.” Andy said, “Good game, guys” on the way out.
Andy told the private cams, “I got idoled out of Survivor. This has been an unbelievable transformation I’ve gone through, and I’m gonna take it with me.”
Rachel told the private cams, “I was the one who knew what was going on at tribal council, and it was fun.” Genevieve continued to tell everyone her fake idol is real.
Rachel and Genevieve told the private cams that they don’t want to sit next to each other in the final. Sam told the private cams, “I’m so irritated that Rachel is still in this game. There’s probably another idol out there, and I can’t let Rachel get it.” Genevieve started following Rachel around to make sure she doesn’t find another idol.
Next, host Jeff Probst returned with the second immunity challenge for this episode. During it, they had to make it through a sand obstacle. Then, stack six balls on a stand without it falling over for the win. Rachel won it to claim immunity and a guaranteed spot in the final four.
Sam told the private cams, “I have to rat out Genevieve’s fake idol since Rachel won immunity.” Sam told Teeny, “Genevieve’s idol is fake. I made it with her.” Teeny said that makes sense. Sam told Teeny, “We need to tell Sue and Rachel that Genevieve’s idol is fake.”
Teeny told the private cams, “I would be a fool not to take advantage of this knowledge and get Genevieve out after she’s fooled me so many times. Teeny told Sue and Rachel that Genevieve’s idol is fake. Sue told the private cams that she doesn’t know if she believes it. Rachel didn’t believe it either.
Teeny told Genevieve that Sam told her the idol is fake. Genevieve confessed to Teeny that her idol is fake. Even though Genevieve confessed, Rachel thought it was still real. Sue told the private cams that she thought it was fake. Teeny told the private cams, “We’ve been duped so many times, I still don’t know if we can vote off Sam or Genevieve.”
At the tribal council meeting, they did some general game talk. Teeny talked about all the stuff Genevieve has pulled at one point. Some whispering took place. Sue played her immunity idol after the votes were casts. So, no votes against her counted.
Sam got 2 votes, and Genevieve received 3 votes. So, with the 3 votes, Genevieve was voted off. She gave everyone a hug. She told Teeny she was sorry for playing her so much in the game. Genevieve said, “Thanks for the opportunity” on the way out.
Genevieve told the private cams, “I just got voted out, but I’m so proud about how I played. I’m more proud of myself than I could imagine I could be.”
