Survivor March 19 Voted Off Thomas Krottinger In Blindside Fashion (Recap)
Earlier tonight, March 19, 2025, CBS aired another new episode of Survivor’s current season 48, and another unlucky contestant got voted off in blindside fashion at the end of it.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with the Vula tribe talking about their last tribal council meeting. Sai told the private cams, “It’s tricky moving forward with Cedrek because he put my game life on the line. I have to proceed with caution.”
Mary told the private cams, “I might want to work with Sai because it’s too hard to work against her.” Sai told Mary, “It hurt that Cedrek wrote my name down at the last tribal council.” Sai told the private cams, “Maybe, me and Mary can work together instead of butting heads.” Sai and Mary agreed to possibly work together.
Next, host Jeff Probst showed up and told them it’s time to switch tribes because the Vula tribe lost too many people after the last tribal council meeting. Everyone drew for which tribe they would end up on. Eva was upset that she got separated from her number one ally Joe.
At Lagi, Eva and David connected. She told David, “You’re gonna be one of my people.” Eva told the rest of Lagi that she wants to get rid of Star. Some of them seemed to agree in that moment.
At Civa, Sai was switched to them and she was elated about it because they had food and supplies, which the losing Vula tribe sorely lacked. Cedrek was also switched to them, and Sai wasn’t too fond of that since she felt betrayed by him at the last tribal council.
At Vula, Joe got switched to them. Kyle told the private cams, “I think me and Kamilla could work together.” Kamilla threw Thomas under the bus by saying that he’s been lying about what he did during his boat journey. Shauhin told Thomas what Kamilla was saying about him. So, Thomas told the private cams, “I want to get Kamilla out ASAP. I don’t trust her at all.”
At Civa, Cedrek and Mitch bonded over their speech issues. Cedrek revealed that he had speech issues when he was a child. Sai and Bianca talked. Sai told her that Cedrek blindsided her twice. Sai told the private cams, “I really wanna work with Bianca.” Meanwhile, Chrissy was campaigning to target Bianca.
At Lagi, David told Eva, “I don’t trust Charity.” He told the private cams, “I want Charity out of this game. She’s played way too hard.”
After all of that, Jeff showed up with the new immunity challenge. During it, they had to make it through obstacles and complete a puzzle. Lagi won first place. Civa won second place, and Vula lost. So, they had to figure out who to get rid of at the next tribal council meeting.
This immunity challenge also doubled as a reward challenge. Lagi won a large fresh fruit platter for first place. Civa won a small fresh fruit platter. Shauhin told the private cams, “It’s Kyle or Kamilla going home.”
Thomas campaigned to Kyle to get Kamilla out. Kyle agreed. Thomas told Shauhin that he wants Kamilla out. Shauhin said he might want to keep Kamilla. Kamilla told Kyle that she came up with a plan to possibly get Thomas out because Kyle has an idol, and Kamilla had an extra vote advantage. The ingredients of their plan definitely involved those two things.
Shauhin and Thomas went through Kyle’s bag to see if he had an idol right in front of Kamilla. Kamilla ran back and told Kyle what they did. So, Kyle told the private cams, “I think they’re coming for me. So, I’m playing the idol on myself tonight.”
At the Vula tribal council meeting, they did some general game talk before casting their votes. Kyle played his immunity idol before the votes were revealed. So, votes against Kyle did not count.
Kyle got 3 votes that didn’t count, and Thomas got 2 votes that did count. So, with those two votes, Thomas was voted off. He was a good sport about it, and he told everyone, “Give me a hug. Good game. Well played” on the way out.
Thomas told the private cams, “I just got blindsided by an idol. No regrets. I learned so much about myself. This has profoundly changed my life, and I’m deeply grateful for it.”
