New Half Man Season 2 Still In Question. HBO Hasn’t Renewed It Yet

Today, HBO Max released the 6th episode of Half Man’s current, premiere season 1, and it was the season finale episode. So, we did take a look to see if HBO renewed it for a new season 2.

According to a couple of sources, HBO has not put out an official renewal order announcement for a new season 2 of Half Man at the time of this writing. So, we will have to wait and see what HBO Max will decide to do with this show at a later date.

We are hearing from Yahoo News and their sources that the show’s creator Richard Gadd said he wrote the first season to just be a stand-alone season and not something that was meant to be extended.

He stated, “I think the best way of telling this story was the way that it ended, in the way that it does end in Half Man, and I think that that mattered more than laying the groundwork for a potential future season that may or may not happen. It just suddenly occurred to me, while I was writing it, that it should exist as its own piece of work and not something that can kind of extend and extend.”

Also, Half Man has been billed as a limited series by HBO Max. Usually, when that happens, the show doesn’t get a new season 2. So, we would be kind of shocked if this show gets renewed. Time will tell.
