The Way Home New Season 5 Not Happening. Hallmark Canceled It
Tonight, June 21, 2026, the Hallmark Channel is airing the 10th episode of its current season 4, and it is the season finale episode. Also, according to our sources over at The Futon Critic and a couple of others, tonight’s episode 10 is also the series finale.
Yep, the Hallmark Channel did officially cancel the show. According to the folks over at TV Series Finale and their sources, the cancellation announcement was made back in November of 2025. So, it was known well before season 4 even began airing.
No particular reason was ever given that we know of for why the show was canceled, but it is canceled, and that’s that. According to Ustvdb and their sources, the show averaged between 600,000 and 800,000 viewers per episode. So, it did do quite well for the network.
Again, it’s confirmed that the Hallmark Channel did officially cancel “The Way Home” with the conclusion of its current season 4. So, there will not be a new season 5.
