New Taylor Lautner ‘Abduction’ movie delivered good action, storyline & more
Lionsgate finally released their new Taylor Lautner, branded, action flick “Abduction” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it ,and I thought it was pretty well done. It was better than I thought it would be.
It contained plenty of good action scenes,a pretty good plot, and that Lily Collins is a cutie. The movie stars: Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Denzel Whitaker, Michael Nyqvist, and Sigourney Weaver.
In the flick, character Nathan (Taylor Lautner) hooks up with a former childhood girlfriend named Karen (Lily Collins) when they get assigned to do a school project together. They eventually stumble onto a website that shows what missing kids would look like all grown up.
Unfortunately,Nathan doesn’t know that the website is fake, setup by a very dangerous man named Kozlow who’s after an encrypted list of names that Nathan’s father possesses. Nathan ends up answering the website, which allows Kozlow’s men to track his location, and that’s when the fun really began.
Kozlow’s men eventually break into his house, and kill Nathan’s foster parents right in front of his face. After that, he takes Karen on the run where he ends up running into one of his so-called caretakers Dr. Bennett (Sigourney Weaver). She tells Nathan and Karen what they needed to do next, and the description wasn’t something they wanted to hop at the chance to do.
From there, they went on a wild goose chase throughout a couple of cities, avoiding Kozlow’s men and the CIA at the same time. However,as these types of movie often play out,the chase finally catches up with them, and Nathan is forced to make a deal with Kozlow in exchange for all of his friend’s lives as well as his own.
This led to a suspenseful, high action conclusion. I enjoyed watching the movie. It was a fun adventure, filled with good action scenes that let Taylor Lautner display his martial arts skills in some very gritty fight scenes. They didn’t hold anything back either. They really got down and dirty. Lily Collins did a great job playing the supporting girlfriend role, and she is really cute. It’s easy to see why Taylor started dating her for a little while.
I thought the plot would have lacked in substance, but it was actually pretty interesting, and kept me intrigued the entire time. I gave the movie a solid B+ grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
