He-Man’s New ‘Grayskull’ Movie Gets a Writer
First of all, yes there is going to be a new He-man movie remake, and now, Warner Bros.and Silver Pictures have hired a newcomer by the name of Evan Daugherty to pen or write the script for it. They previously Hired Justin Marks who wrote “Street Fighter : The Legend of Chun Li” to write the He-man draft. So now Evan Daugherty will be working off Justin’s previous draft of He-man.
The He-man character was originally created by Mattel back in the 1980’s. They had a He-man cartoon, and action figure toyline for all the characters of the cartoon which I begged my mom to get for me at the time. Man, the 80’s. Those were the good ole days. The plot of the cartoon, was that a blonde warrior prince named Adam would hold up his sword and utter the words, “By The Power of Grayskull”. Then he would be magically transformed into a big musclebound hero named, He-man. Him and his tiger named Battle Cat would defend their planet Eternia from the evil forces of Skeletor.
Apparently landing the “Grayskull” writing gig was a big deal for Daugherty since he only has one other writing credit to his name. I for one, definitely look forward to seeing the finished product because I used to always watch He-man as a child.
I think you mean Justin Marks. Justin Long is a popular actor and hasn’t written any scripts I’ve heard about.
