‘Bruno’ Movie Gets Banned
Not here in the good ole United States,but over in the Ukraine, it has. The Ukraine’s Culture Ministry says they have banned the “Bruno” movie over there because they think it’s immoral. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the ministry said that Sacha Baron Cohen’s depictions of sexual organs,homosexual intercourse,and language are obscene and improper.
Some of the officials over in Austria have spoken out against the film, but have not taken any action against it. Sacha’s previous movie “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” that came out in 2006 was also banned by Russia because it ridiculed the former Soviet republic of Kazakhstan and the United States.
I have to say, even though I thought “Bruno” was hilarious, it was very sexually graphic. I can see how some people could take serious offense to it. It was borderline porn in some scenes
