Patrick Swayze Loses Bout With Cancer, Dies At Age 57
According to the Associated Press, “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost” movie star, Patrick Swayze died a few hours ago today (Monday) due to losing his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was age 57. They report that his publicist, Annett Wolf said, “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months.” They report that he died in Los Angeles, but couldn’t get any further details.
Fans of the actor first learned about his condition back in March of 2008. However, he kept working despite the diagnosis. He was filming a show for an A&E drama entitled, “The Beast.” When he first went public with his illness, there were reports stating he only had weeks to live,but his doctor shot those down with a more optimistic prediction.
There are more reports that other celebrities are using “Twitter” to express their condolences. Ashton Kutcher,and his wife Demi Moore who co-starred with him in “Ghost,” are some of the celebs reported.
