‘Extraordinary Measures’ Movie Got OK Reviews From Top Critics
‘Extraordinary Measures’ movie got OK reviews from top critics. CBS Films released it’s new Harrison Ford drama movie entitled, “Extraordinary Measure” in theaters today. It also stars: Brendan Fraser, Keri Russell, and Courtney B. Vance. The top movie critics didn’t seem to be impressed by it,but didn’t exactly flush it down the toilet either. Overall they gave it “just ok” reviews,but didn’t really like the plot.
Wesley Morris from the Boston Globe gave it a B-. He said it was, “entertaining enough.” Roger Ebert at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a C. He stated it was, “an ordinary film with ordinary characters in a story too big for it.”
Michael Phillips over at the Chicago Tribune gave it a C rating. He said, “The results feel a little harried, as if the focus issues were never really solved.” Sean O’Connell at Filmcritic.com gave it a C-. He stated, “it’s about as tailored-for-television as a movie can get without containing actual commercial breaks.”
Stephen Farber at the Hollywood Reporter gave it a C+. He said, “Harrison Ford is always watchable in this otherwise routine tear-jerker.” A.O. Scott of the New York Times rated it a B-. He said, “the dogged, unflashy presentation of emotionally charged, complicated material works to the film’s advantage.”
James Berardinelli from Reelviews gave it a C rating. He stated, “a generally insipid feel-good production that’s high on sentiment and manipulation but low on genuine drama and good acting.”
USA Today’s Claudia Puig gave the movie a C rating. She stated it, “feels like a barely gussied-up Lifetime movie.” “Extraordinary Measures” movie is in theaters now.
