Top critics gave ‘Iron Man’ 2 movie pretty good reviews. Paramount Pictures in conjunction with Marvel Studios released its mega action flick “Iron Man 2” in theaters today,and the top movie critics in the business seem to enjoy it for the most part,giving it mostly Bs. However, there were a few that thought it fell below par,giving it a couple of Cs. The movie stars: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery, Kate Mara, Clark Gregg, and Olivia Munn.
Wesley Morris from the Boston Globe gave it a B-. He said, it was a “Superhero sequel at its best when the stars are having a ball instead of a brawl.” Roger Ebert over at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a B rating. He stated, it was “A polished, high-ozone sequel.”
Matt Pais at the Chicago Tribune gave it a C+. He said, it was “Twice the snark, half the fun.” Lisa Schwarzbaum at “Entertainment Weekly” gave it another C+ rating. She stated, that it “Doesn’t glow with the same charm as the original.
Sean O’Connell at Filmcritic.com gave it a B+. He said, it “Succeeds as a standalone sequel.” Lou Lumenick from the New York Post gave it a C. he said, it was “Clunky sequel is mostly sloppy seconds.”
A.O. Scott at the New York Times gave it a B rating,stating, it was “More of the same, with emphasis on more. ” James Berardinelli over at Reelviews gave it a B. He said, “It isn’t up to the level of Iron Man.”
