‘MacGruber’ Movie Delivered Very Funny Comedy With A Little Action
‘MacGruber’ movie delivered very funny comedy with a little action. Rogue Pictures released their new action/comedy flick “MacGruber” in theaters this weekend. I just got through watching it,and it was really very funny, actually. It contained a lot of dirty, raunchy type humor,so you have to have a particular taste for it, I guess. The movie stars: Will Forte, Ryan Phillippe, Kristen Wiig, Val Kilmer, Powers Boothe, and Maya Rudolph.
“Macgruber” revolved around character Macgruber (Will Forte) who is a former Green Beret, Navy SEAL, and Army Ranger. Macgruber has resided to a life of retirement for the past 10 years after his wife was killed, but he gets dragged back into duty by the desire to get revenge on his sworn enemy Dieter Von Cunth (Val Kilmer). He finds out that Von Cunth is looking to destroy a whole city with a nuclear warhead that he’s obtained.
MacGruber eventually assembles a team after accidentally killing his former team with a bunch of C-4 explosives. His new team consisted of Lt. Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) and Vicki St. Elmo (Kristen Wiig). Together, they are somehow able to take down Von Cunth, but you wouldn’t be able to tell until the end of the movie as MacGruber is nothing more than a bumbling idiot who doesn’t use guns, makes bombs that just explode like bubble gum,has his team dress up like him,and just makes mistake after mistake.
This movie contained a lot of hilarious scenes like: MacGruber humping his dead wife’s ghost, sporting the old pull-out stereo everywhere he goes, walking around naked with a celery stick hanging out of his butt, and offering to provide oral to get what he wants. The list of laughs just go on and on in this film. It also has a lot of action, but the theme of this movie was to definitely make its audience laugh, and it did do that all the way to the closing credits. The movie was very entertaining, and never had a boring moment. Again, though, it depends on one’s particular taste in humor.
