Top critics gave Zac Efron,Charlie St. Cloud movie negative reviews. Universal Pictures released their new Zac Efron branded drama flick “Charlie St. Cloud” into theaters today,and the top movie critics didn’t seem to be impressed with the storyline at all,giving it Cs and Ds,and nothing better. The movie stars: Zac Efron, Amanda Crew, Donal Logue, Charlie Tahan, Kim Basinger,and Ray Liotta.
Wesley Morris at the Boston Globe gave it a C-. He said, “Steers cares not for pacing or depth or the power of real emotion.” Michael Phillips at the Chicago Tribune gave it a C-. He stated, “The story’s icky, frankly.”
Owen Gleiberman from Entertainment Weekly gave it another C-. He stated, “The surreal thing is, Zac Efron can’t do despair. He plays it by staring. Blankly. And by not smiling. Blankly.” Sean O’Connell from Filmcritic.com gave it a bad D rating. He said, “Its heart always seems to be in the right place. Its brain, unfortunately, is always somewhere else.”
Kirk Honeycutt from the Hollywood Reporter gave it a D. He said, “An unstable mix of youth romance, metaphysical idealism and tropes that seemingly belong in a horror film.” Betsy Sharkey from the Los Angeles Times gave it a C. She stated, “Zac Efron shows promise as an actor. But director Burr Steers fails to fully embrace the film’s weepy potential.”
A.O. Scott at the New York Times gave it a C rating. He said, “You are not, in a movie like this, supposed to think too much; you are supposed to be transported beyond skepticism on a wave of pure, tacky feeling. Instead, in this case, you drown in sentimental, ghoulish nonsense.”

Well i very much loved the film i even cried in some scenes i reccomne this movie because it was actually a great story line and theres even kind of a twist you didnt expect
