This is a very good flick worthy of nothing less than a B+.
McAdams is great (per usual) and if it seems like she drank “too much coffee” then
she more than accomplished her goal as an actor. She’s supposed to be high-strung.
However, she is so much more than that.
Ford and Keaton are perfect for the antagonistic co-anchors. It was great to see them
together and with Rachel.
Jeff Goldblum, Patrick Wilson and John Pankow are excellent support and Matt Malloy is
over-the-top funny as the Weatherman.
My only complaint is that it may have tried to do too much in too little time and seemed a
bit “hurried” at the end. Other than that, it was entertaining and well worth the time and money.
I went to a 12:15pm matinee today and it was packed. The audience really seemed to enjoy this film
from the comments I heard as I was leaving the theater. The critics who panned this movie had issues
going in and they missed a very “entertaining” picture.
