Critics gave new Christina Aguilera ‘Burlesque’ movie OK reviews. Screen Gems released their new Christina Aguilera,branded, drama flick “Burlesque” into theaters today. For the most part,the top movie critics seemed to think it was just “ok.” The movie stars: Cher, Christina Aguilera, Eric Dane, Cam Gigandet, Julianne Hough, Peter Gallagher, Alan Cumming, Kristen Bell,and Stanley Tucci.
Wesley Morris at the Boston Globe gave it a B-. He said, “It’s entertaining enough, like watching a celebrity workout film with a plot. Roger Ebert at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a C rating. He stated, “Other people age. Cher has become a logo.”
Peter Paras at E! Online gave it a C-. He said, “isn’t even awful enough to qualify as a so bad,it’s good guilty pleasure.” Lisa Schwarzbaum at Entertainment Weekly gave it a C-. She said, “The showgirls bend like flexi-straws and wiggle their fannies, but eroticism is safely off the table.”

Manohla Dargis at the New York Times gave it a C-. She said, “achingly dull.” Peter Travers at Rolling Stone gave it a D. He said, “dishwater dull.” Mick LaSalle at the San Francisco Chronicle gave it a very good A rating. He stated, “irresistible from its first minutes.”
