30 Minutes Or Less movie delivered very good comedy, suspense, action & more
Columbia Pictures released their new comedy/action flick “30 Minutes or Less” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and it was way funnier than I thought it would be. Aziz Ansari is pretty damn funny. The movie stars: Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride, Aziz Ansari, Nick Swardson, and Michael Pena.
In the flick, pizza boy Nick’s (Jesse Eisenberg) mundane life makes a very abrupt change when a couple stupid idiots decide to use Nick to fulfill their hair brained scheme of grandeur. Character Dwayne (Danny McBride) and his sidekick Travis (Nick Swardson) wanted to start a tanning salon that doubled as a prostitution hut,but in order to do that, they needed to get $100,000 to pay off a hitman to kill Dwayne’s father,so he could collect his inheritance of a $ 1 million dollars.
So, they came up with the idea to knock Nick out ,and attach a timer bomb to his chest. Nick had to rob a bank, and drop them the money before the timer ran out,or he would explode. They also threatened him with a remote detonator if he tried any funny moves, like going to the cops or something.
After running around in a panic for a few hours, Nick and his best friend Chet (Aziz Ansari) decided to go ahead and rob the bank because they couldn’t see any other options. After successfully robbing the bank, things don’t quite go the way Nick wants it too because Dwayne reneges on the deal. This caused another twists to come into play, involving Dwayne’s hired hitman Michael Peña (Chango).
Chango was hired to make the hit on Dwayne’s father, but the deal goes bad,and he tries to kill everyone instead, leading to a very crazy conclusion that involved a bomb exploding,a fire torch gun being shot, fighting, and more. It was pretty wild and very funny at the same time.
I thought the movie was definitely a lot funnier than the trailers, and Aziz Ansari had me laughing hysterically throughout the entire film. Also, Michael Pena who played the hitman was very funny as well, along with crazy Danny McBride and Nick Swardson. Mos of the characters were really funny. It never had a dull moment. I gave the movie a definite A grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
