New Bourne Legacy movie delivered tons of cool action,suspense & more. Universal Pictures released their new action flick “The Bourne Legacy” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was damn good. It served up a ton of awesome action scenes, mixed with lots of good drama and suspense. It stars: Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Albert Finney, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn, Stacy Keach,and Oscar Isaac.
In the new flick, Outcome agent Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) goes out on a training assignment in the Alaskan wilderness. Several days into his assignment, he starts to run out of his Outcome-issued blue and green pills which enhance his mental and physical abilities. After roaming around for a bit, he runs into another Outcome agent, and takes up lodge in his cabin.
Eventually, a UAV missile is fired at the cabin,killing the other Outcome agent while Aaron looks on. From there, Aaron manages to destroy the UAV with a sniper rifle,and cuts out the tracking device that was implanted in his abdomen. After that, he implants the tracking device inside a wolf to make it appear that the CIA killed him as the attack was part of the CIA’s plan to kill off all remaining Outcome agents, following Jason Bourne’s actions and their public revelation of the Treadstone and Blackbriar programs.
They also tried to kill off all the scientists that worked with the agents through someone who worked on the inside. They managed to be successful with the exception of scientist Marta Shearing. Later on, the CIA tried to finish off Marta at her home,but the plan was botched by Aaron, showing up and killing them to rescue Marta.
After that, Aaron uses Marta’s abilities to help him viral off the brain enhancing effects of the blue pills,making the enhancement effects, permanent. They had to fly to Manilla to do it with the CIA heavy on their trail after they did a little investigating to find their whereabouts.
This led up to a huge,action-filled conclusion that involved a lot of running,fighting,shooting,and a wild motorcycle and car chase as Marta and Aaron tried to make it to the water in order to escape out of Manilla.
Again, the movie was highly entertaining and very fun to watch,especially towards the end when they were on the run. The action picked up 10 notches,and it just really kept my full attention throughout. Also, Jeremy Renner did a great job with the main action role. I gave the movie a solid A- grade.
