New ‘The Possession’ Delivered Wicked Thrills,Suspense,Drama & More
New ‘The Possession’ delivered wicked thrills, suspense, drama & more. Lionsgate released their new horror/thriller flick “The Possession” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was very entertaining as it served up plenty of thrills, suspense, and more. It stars: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, Madison Davenport, and Natasha Calis.
In the new flick, character Clyde takes his two daughters Em and Hannah to a garage sale when he has custody of them. Clyde unknowingly ends up buying a demon box for Em when she begs him for it. The mysterious box has no obvious way to open it,but Em eventually finds way to open it.
From there, Em finds very weird things in the box,and weird things start to happen to her. She starts to not feel like herself, and acts very strange. At one point, she stabs her father in the hand with a fork, but then appears to snap out of her trance when she sees he’s hurt.
Em’s condition continues to get worse as the days go by. In one of the scenes,Em is found completely surrounded by moths that appear to be a result of the demon box. However, she has no memory of it after Clyde pulls her out of the room.
Later on, someone tries to take Em’s demon box away from her,and she gets wicked violent by totally wailing on another kid. This event obviously alerts Clyde and Em’s mother Stephanie that there’s something crazy going on with her. Clyde tries to get rid of the demon box,but Em throws a huge fit,and immediately runs to where the box was thrown out,and then gets totally possessed.
Clyde now knowing that he’s dealing with something out of his control, enlists the help of a Jew named Tzadok, because they apparently know all about the strange box. Tzadok soon discovers that it was used to imprison an evil demon named Abizo aka taker of children.
It’s explained that Abizo is trying to feed on all the life that is within Em,and they must stop her by calling her out of Em,and back into the box. However, the conclusion reveals that it’s way easier said than done as bodies get thrown around, wild chases through a hospital go down, the demon is transferred into Clyde, and much more before they are finally able to resolve the problem. It was totally wild. They also left it open for a sequel.
Again, I thought the movie was highly entertaining. I was completely into it the entire time as it was very intriguing and suspenseful. It was an awesome thriller. I gave it a solid B+ grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
