New ‘Beautiful Creatures’ Movie Delivered Great Drama,Comedy,Special Effects & More
New ‘Beautiful Creatures’ movie delivered great drama, comedy special effects & more. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new fantasy/drama flick “Beautiful Creatures” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was amazingly interesting if nothing else. The special effects were phenomenal. I’ve always liked that sort of thing, and their was definitely large amounts of drama that went down as it is a hardcore love story. There was also some great comedy, served up as well. The movie stars: Alden Ehrenreich, Alice Englert, Jeremy Irons, Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann, and Emma Thompson.
The new flick is based upon the novel of the same name by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. It takes place in a small town named Gatlin that character ,Ethan Wate, desperately wants to get out of. However, he eventually meets a new girl ,named Lena Duchannes, that just arrived into town with her magical family, and she quickly captures Ethan’s attention with her extremely different and edgy vibe.
She displayed a very tough exterior at first, but Ethan was eventually able to work his way past that ,and get really close with her. So close,in fact, that she lets him in on her magical secrets of actually being a caster aka witch. From there, Ethan finds her to be even more fascinating and everything just seems find and dandy.
Unfortunately, that quickly ends when Lena reveals to Ethan that she might turn evil on her 16th birthday due to some crazy curse that befell her family of women after her mother, Sarafine, casts a forbidden spell that costs her to lose her soul ,and become evil.
Ethan refuses to believe that Lena will become evil, and tries to convince her that she can control her own fate. Eventually, they try to find out as much as they can about the evil curse so that they may be able to break it. However,it’s not easy and their love is faced many obstacles throughout the movie.
It eventually, led up to a huge drama-filled,magical conclusion that involved a wicked twist that leaves Lena being able to control her fate and overcome the evil, but with a few heavy and unfortunate sacrifices. Again, I thought the movie was highly intriguing and entertaining throughout. I never got bored watching it,which is a very big deal to me.
It also delivered a lot of humor and witty deliveries. Actor Alden Ehrenreich who played Ethan was extremely funny. Also, actress Alice Englert aka Lena was funny as well. I gave the movie a solid B+ grade. Stay tuned. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Tumblr by Clicking Here.
