New ‘Dark Skies’ Movie Delivered Lots Of Thrills,Suspense & Very Weird Ending

New ‘Dark Skies’ movie delivered lots of thrills, suspense & very weird ending. Dimension Films released their new horror/thriller flick “Dark Skies” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was totally insane as it served up tons of weird thrills and suspense, especially towards the end. Speaking of the end. I have to say,it was a little unsatisfying and just very strange. The movie stars: Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton, Dakota Goyo, Kadan Rockett, and J.K. Simmons.

Apparently, the producers of the Paranormal Activity movies, made this flick and it came off just as weird and strange as the Paranormal Activity films. In the flick, characters Lacey and Daniel Barrett are living in the suburbs with their two kids Jessie and Sam Barrett.

Like these movie usually play out, everything seemed fine and peaceful at first. However, little Sam starts seeing a strange creature and calls it the Sandman. As the movie progresses, it’s revealed that the Sandman keeps visiting him. Also things start disappearing from the house, and the alarms go off for no reason.

Then strange things start escalating with Lacey and Daniel as Lacey has a shocking breakdown while trying to sell a house, and wakes up hours later, not remembering what happened. Daniel goes sleepwalking and starts suddenly bleeding all over the place. Then doesn’t remember it

Eventually, Lacey convinces Daniel to go to see a man who specializes in aliens. From there, they learn that the aliens are studying them, and plan to take one of their sons. However, they are given an array of hope by being told, if they make it difficult for the aliens, they might move onto someone else.

That info led to a huge, thrilling conclusion that involved the whole family getting visited by the aliens simultaneously, and trying to fight them off. However, they are unsuccessful in their efforts when it came to protecting one of their sons. It also left a lot of unanswered questions.

Again, I actually did think this movie was highly entertaining as I found it to be very intriguing. It had me at the edge of my seat ,constantly, and I found myself totally wrapped up in seeing how the plot would play out. I gave the movie a solid B+ grade. Stay tuned.
