New Evil Dead movie delivered major thrills,horror,drama,suspense & more. TriStar Pictures (Sony) released their new horror/thriller flick “Evil Dead.” I just checked it out,and thought it was wicked intense,thrilling,and suspenseful as all hell. The movie stars: Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, and Elizabeth Blackmore.
In the new flick, a group of four friends: David, Mia,Eric,Olivia,and Natalie made their way to an old cabin in the backwoods. David and Mia are siblings. Eric eventually finds a weird demonic book,called the Naturon Demonto, and despite repeated warnings, he read through the pages of the book, and uttered an incantation from it. Meanwhile ,Mia wondered off by her lonesome,and surely enough, started to see visions of a girl with pale skin and yellow eyes. As the scene continued, Mia ended up,getting attacked and captured by tree branches.Then a long vine-like worm ,which exited the mouth of the dead girl,entered Mia’s body.
After that, Mia tried to warn the others that they are not alone,but no one believed her,so Mia got worse as the demon continued to latch onto her soul,resulting in her,killing the family dog and burning herself with scolding hot water from the shower. Then after she shot David in the arm, they locked her down in the basement.
From there, the entity decided to possess Olivia,resulting in her gruesome death after she tried to kill Eric. Then the demon made its rounds over to Olivia,causing her to cut off her arm. Then tried to kill both Eric and David,which resulted in her demise. At this point, all the girls were MIA,and it was just down to David and an almost dead Eric.
After a few more twists and turns David tried to save Mia from her possessed state. It didn’t work,and got Eric killed. However,David’s 2nd attempt to save Mia,worked,leading to a huge drama-filled,highly intense,conclusion where David met his demise and Mia was left to fight the ultimate demon from hell,who had apparently made his way out of the ground. A huge,big fight went down. It was really crazy,suspenseful, and wild,mostly because Mia kept making silly mistakes that should’ve gotten her killed.
Again, I thought the movie was highly entertaining as it was very suspenseful for the entire runtime. It never had a boring moment,and just kept me on the edge of my seat with the spookiness and twists and turns at the end.. Also, it was quite graphic with the cutting off of limbs and other body parts. It was very disturbing to say the least. I gave the movie a solid A grade. Stay tuned.
