New Selena Gomez ‘Getaway’ movie delivered great action, drama, suspense & more. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new action flick, “Getaway” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was absolutely great, serving up nonstop action, drama, and suspense the entire time. It stars: Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez, Jon Voight, Rebecca Budig, and Bruce Payne.
In the new flick, former race car driver ,Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke), discovers that his wife has been kidnapped, and gets a call from a mysterious guy, who gives him specific instructions to follow, and if he doesn’t carry them out, his wife will be killed. The mysterious guy also gives him a time limit in which to carry out each of the assignments, making them even more difficult.
The tasks turn out to be that of a very dangerous and criminal nature as the first one ,has him, stealing a nice race car from a girl known as “The Kid” (Selena Gomez). The Kid eventually catches up to Brent after he’s told to drive her car like a madman through a crowded park, which would eventually cause a segment of a road to be blocked off, setting up an eventual escape route.
After the Kid pulls a gun on Brent, she’s forced to ride along in the car with him or Brent’s wife would immediately be killed. However, having The Kid ride along with Brent, turns out to be the worst mistake that the kidnapper ever made as she’s highly intelligent, and eventually uses her high tech computer skills and general, overall savviness to find out what the kidnappers’ plan is and help Brent do the necessary things to take him down.
The conclusion involved one of many high speed car chases, filled with a ton of suspense, gun shootouts, and total hardcore action. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie from start to finish as it never had a boring moment and was high-paced all the way through. Selena Gomez is a real cutie, and I liked how she played the bratty intelligent kid role.
If you like tons of car chase action, you’ll totally love this film, because I lost count of how many this one served up. There was so many. I gave the movie a definite A grade for just pure entertainment. Stay tuned. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
