New Neighbors Movie Delivered Great Comedy,Drama & More
Universal Pictures released their comedy flick, “Neighbors,” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was extremely funny and entertaining, serving up wild, raunchy comedy, intense drama, and more. It stars: Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Rose Byrne, Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Jerrod Carmichael.
In the new flick, a young married couple: Mac Radner (Seth Rogen) and Kelly (Rose Byrne), happily enjoy living in their neighborhood with their little baby girl. However, they still have a taste for partying like they’re still in college every now and then. After the film introduced their boring lifestyle, some new neighbors move in right next door to them. Oh, and they happened to be a wild college fraternity, led by president Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron) and the vice president, Pete Regazolli (Dave Franco). And these two guys were freaking hilarious throughout the entire flick.
Obviously, fraternities like to party hard and loud, so this prompted Mac and Kelly to try to tell them to keep the noise down. Teddy seems good with that at first ,and made Mac and Kelly promise to never call the cops on them, and to just tell him if the parties ever got too loud. They agreed to that for the time being. However, that agreement quickly went to hell when the parties got louder and Mac could no longer get a hold of Teddy to keep the noise down.
So, after calling the cops on the fraternity, it meant war for the frat house and the green light for them to make Mac and Kelly’s life a living hell. From there, each group struck back at each other with various pranks and what not. This prompted Mac and Kelly to eventually come up with a plan to cause the frat house to do something bad enough to get them what is called “strikes” on their record. And just like the game of baseball, if they got three of them on their record, they had to move the hell out.
The first two were pretty easy to get. however, the last one took a lot of creativity as the Frat stayed on their best behavior after getting put on probation by the college dean. But Mac and Kelly’s genius plan got the frat to think their probation had been lifted, prompting them to start up another big party, giving Kelly and Mac an opening to draw that 3rd strike against the house.
This set up the big conclusion that featured one hell of a party, some serious fighting between Mac and Teddy, and whole lot of actual fireworks, cops ,and more. Again, I thought the movie was insanely hilarious and never boring for the entire runtime. I thought Zac Efron and Dave Franco did an excellent job portraying the crazy college frat guys. I gave the movie a solid B+ grade. Stay tuned. Also, get your favorite Movie stuff, and more by Clicking Here.
