New The Purge 2 Anarchy Movie Delivered Great Action,Thrills,Suspense & More
Universal Pictures released their new horror/thriller flick, “The Purge 2: Anarchy” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was excellent, delivering a ton of great suspense, thrills, action, drama, twists and more. It stars: Frank Grillo, Michael K. Williams, Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford, Kiele Sanchez, and Keith Stanfield.
In the new flick, everyone got ready to lock themselves in their homes for the annual purge as usual. The purge is a 12 hour window that allows any crime to be legally committed, even murder. We saw the story start to take shape around two girls ,Eva and her daughter, Cali. Then the storyline eventually extended out to a couple named, Shane and Liz. And the last main character added to the storyline, was police sergeant Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo). However, Leo actually wanted to go out into the streets to find the man who killed his son.
Eva and Cali’s house eventually got busted into and they were dragged out into the street to be murdered, while the couple, Shane and Liz, were set up by a group of thugs when they caused their car to eventually break down on the side of the road. In their quest to hide from all the killers who wanted to purge, they eventually found Leo’s bullet-proof car and hopped in it while Leo decided to stop and rescue Eva and Cali from getting murdered. He wanted to leave them at first, but just didn’t have the heart to.
From there, Leo drags them all to a seemingly safe place on the promise that Eva’s friend could lend Leo a working car since his car got shot and disabled. Cali’s friend turned out to have some corrupt people there, so they had to switch up plans that didn’t really work out too well as they eventually found themselves being auctioned off to a bunch of rich people for a Purge hunt in which they were the prey.
This set up the huge conclusion, where a big rescue scene took place, along with a large shootout. Leo had one last thing he still needed to do, and it didn’t quite end well for him, but he did survive. I have a feeling these Purge movies could become the next big series of sequels, like the Saw movies. They’re very entertaining to watch, and they can switch up the storylines with each one.
Again though. I found the movie quite entertaining for the entire runtime. It delivered non-stop thrills and suspense, along with some great drama. I thought Frank Grillo did an excellent job as the lead guy ,officer Leo Barnes. i gave the movie a great A+ grade. Stay tuned. Also, get your favorite Movie stuff, and more by Clicking Here.
