New ‘Big Brother’ Season 22 All Stars Premiere Date Officially Revealed By CBS
Hey, “Big Brother” fans. We are back with another brand new article for you guys. I know, I know. It’s been awhile, but we’re back with extremely great news for you guys.
The rumors of a new Big Brother season 22, All Stars season has been swirling around all summer long. We didn’t really know what to make of it. So,we decided to just wait for an official announcement from CBS, and we finally got it today, July 23, 2020!
That’s right, guys. CBS jumped on their website, and put out an official press release, revealing that Big Brother season 22 is still happening this summer, and it’s really going to be a friggin All Stars season!
The revealed that this new season 22 is currently scheduled to officially debut on Wednesday night, August 5, 2020 at approximately 9/8c!
The CBS press release went on to point out that this is the 20th anniversary since Big Brother debuted way, way back on July 5, 2000, and that this is the second all star season in the history of the show. Most of you know that the first All Star season took place way back in the summer of 2006.
CBS pointed out that the new season 22 will, once again, get their 3 times a week time slot. It will air every Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday on CBS and CBS All Access at approximately 7 pm central standard time. Thursdays will feature the LIVE evictions with returning and beloved host Julie Chen Moonves!
They said the all star houseguests will be announced at later date. So, we’ll have to wait about a week or so for the official cast to be revealed.
In their press release, CBS did address the terrible Covid-19 pandemic, and how they will deal with it. They plan on following specific health and safety protocols for COVID-19 with the welfare of everyone involved as the highest priority.
Each houseguest will undergo a quarantine period prior to production, and they will be tested several times prior to entering the house. Once they are inside the house, they will be tested every friggin week during the season ,and they will have no contact with any crew members.
All of the supplies that are delivered will be disinfected. Also, the LIVE eviction show will not feature a LIVE studio audience.
All of the staff and crew members will be tested prior to commencing work on a regular basis. They will also be screened daily for symptoms.
The employees will be required to wear PPE ,and they will work in pods to enhance social distancing. Also, a COVID-19 compliance officer will be on staff to monitor and enforce all health and safety, COVID-19 protocols.
Again, CBS has officially revealed that Big Brother season 22 is an All Stars season, and it will premiere on Wednesday night, August 5, 2020 at approximately 9/8c. After the premiere, Big Brother season 22 will air new episodes on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
CBS did not mention the LIVE feeds in their press release, but we did check their official LIVE feeds page, and it did confirm that they will be back for this season with the following statement:
“The Live Feeds (U.S. only) give you access to behind-the-scenes action and conversations. Watch the Houseguests from every angle all at once with the multi-camera setup when Big Brother returns for season 22 on August 5 at 9/8c.”
