After that, Matt James and Lindsay Arnold hit the dance floor ,first, with a Samba routine. Afterwards, Len said, “You should have worried less about taking off your shirt and more about working on your hips, which are allergic to music.”

Derek said, “You need to improve your bounce and your feet, but you were still fun to watch.” Bruno said, “I can think of a lot I want to say, but nothing about the samba. Watch those hips though.” Carrie Ann said, “I’m docking you for a lift, and your bravado was lacking after you took your shirt off. You were dancing too small.”

Carrie Ann gave Matt and Lindsay a 5 score, Len a 5, Derek a 6 and Bruno a 6 for a total of 22 points.

Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy danced a Viennese Waltz. Afterwards, Derek said, “There was a purity in the performance.” Bruno said, “You’ve done incredibly well for a beginner despite a couple of hiccups.” Carrie Ann said, “I appreciated the trust you showed in your partner ,and I expect you to have a long run in this competition.” Len said, “I liked the turns and quality in your holds.”

Carrie Ann gave Olivia and Val a 7, Len a 6, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 27 points.

It was very well channeled.”

Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess delivered a Rumba dance. Afterwards, Len said, “I liked the romance, but not much else. It was just a load of posing.” Derek said, “You and Sharna gave a performance that was just for you, which is fine, but you need to watch your free arm.”

Bruno said, “It was an honest dance and a pure expression, but it was more contemporary than legitimate rumba.” Carrie Ann said, “I want you to build on your chemistry with Sharna and sustain the movement more.”

Carrie Ann gave Brian and Sharna a 6, Len a 5, Derek a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 23 points.

Christine Chiu and Pasha Pashkov served up a Salsa routine. Afterwards, Derek said, “I liked your hip action and your awareness of your body, but you got a little stiff as the dance progressed.”

Bruno said, “You missed the dismount on your lift a little.” Carrie Ann said, “75 percent of the routine was awesome, but you got lost a little on the underarm turns.” Len said, “Someone is going home tonight. Based on your two performances, I don’t think it’s gonna be you.”

Carrie Ann gave Christine and Pasha a 6, Len a 6, Derek a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 24 points.

Jimmie Allen and Emma Slater delivered a Rumba number. Afterwards, Bruno said, “I could feel an undercurrent of passion, and you used your arms and lines very well.”

Carrie Ann said, “It was amazing, and it was the first time this season I felt your heart was attached to what you were doing. It was so beautiful.” Len said, “The footwork was hit and miss, but your upper body was great, and you improved from last week.” Derek said, “There was struggle in the lower half of your body, but you nailed the upper half.”

Carrie Ann gave Jimmie and Emma a 7, Len a 6, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 27 points.

Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten were up next with a Foxtrot routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “You are a star. It’s like watching a Broadway musical built around you with your beautiful legs and lines.”

Len said, “I loved the song ,and I liked the performance so much I wanted it to keep going. It was smooth like butter, but you did a little too much kicking.” Derek said, ” You were a vision to watch.” Bruno said,. “You are radiant, and if you’ve got it, flaunt it.”

Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach served up a Rumba dance. Afterwards, Derek said, “I enjoyed how much you seem to enjoy yourself, and how smooth you are.” Bruno said, “I could tell you were working on following the melodic line of the music, but you need to work on your feet.”

Carrie Ann said, “I love how connected you were to the music.” Len said, “I liked it. It was a great improvement on last week.”

Carrie Ann gave Iman and Daniella a 7, Len a 6, Derek a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 25 points.

Martin Kove and Britt Stewart danced a Cha Cha number. Afterwards, Bruno said, “I appreciated that there was more content, but not necessarily in the right order at the right time.” Carrie Ann said, “I appreciated that you were having fun.” Len said, “I can’t give it a big mark because it wasn’t that great, but well done.” Derek said, “It was fun ,and I loved the James Brown moves.”

Carrie Ann gave Martin and Britt a 4, Len a 3, Derek a 4, Bruno a 4 for a total of 15 points.

Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev served up a Rumba routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “It was very dramatic, and you have a knack for storytelling through your body with stunning arms and great balance.”

Len said, “It was easy like Sunday morning, but you needed more hip action. This dance also needed more rumba content in the choreography.” Derek said, “You were fun and easy to watch with beautiful movements.” Bruno said, “It was well acted and centered.”

Carrie Ann gave Melora and Artem a 7, Len a 6, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 27 points.

Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke delivered a Salsa dance via their rehearsal footage since Cheryl caught Covid. After watching their rehearsal footage, Len said, “The performance had a lot of salsa content and razzle dazzle with good dancing.”

Derek said, “It was really good for rehearsal with a few parts out of sync.” Bruno said, “I missed it in the ballroom, which would’ve added more to the performance, and Cody needs to ground his hips more.” Carrie Ann said, “It was inevitably a little lackluster.”

Carrie Ann gave Cody and Cheryl a 6, Len a 6, Derek a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 24 points.

Melanie C and Gleb Savchenko danced up a Foxtrot routine. Afterwards, Derek said, “You’re a clean, effortless and gorgeous dancer, but try not to look down so much. It makes you look like your’re thinking a little too much.”

Bruno said, “You combined lyricism with dynamics. Carrie Ann said, “I loved seeing this elegant, soft side of you, but you need to watch your clenching hands and trust yourself a little more.” Len said, “This routine really pleased me.”

Carrie Ann gave Melanie and Gleb a 7, Len a 7, Derek an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 30 points.

Suni Lee and Sasha Farber delivered a Cha Cha routine for the last performance of the night. Afterwards,Bruno said, “You shine when you smile, but you need to inhabit the character more. Become someone else in each dance.”

Carrie Ann said, “I saw you being a little more yourself and gaining more confidence.” Len said, “It was well danced and performed much better.” Derek said, “The character was sassy Suni. Plus, you did a flip in heels.”

Carrie Ann gave Suni and Sasha a 7, Len a 7, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 28 points.
