Euphoria Season 2, February 27, 2022 Episode 8 Is The Finale. Season 3 Is Happening

Hey, “Euphoria” fans. We totally hope you guys had a blast watching episode 8 tonight, especially since it’s the very last episode for this current season 2. Yep, that’s right, guys. You’ll need to prepare to be Euphorialess for quite some time because tonight’s episode 8 was indeed the season 2 finale episode.

I know, I know. This season was way too short. HBO doesn’t give Euphoria enough episodes, but it is what it is. On a much brighter note, we can officially tell you that you will eventually get to see more new, Euphoria episodes at some point in the future because HBO totally renewed it for a brand new season 3! That’s right, guys. You can officially crack open the champagne bottles because season 3 is definitely happening.

According to the folks over at TVline.com , HBO wasted no time giving Euphoria an early season 3 renewal back in early February 2022.

During the renewal announcement, HBO’s executive vice president of programming Francesca Orsihad had some very nice things to say about the cast and crew of Euphoria stating, ““Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken Season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form while maintaining its heart. We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team. We’re excited to continue our journey with them into Season 3.”

Currently, it is not yet known how many episodes season 3 will contain or when it’s set to debut. We should get that very important information at a later date. We’re really hoping that HBO orders up more than 8 episodes though. I think they should at least give it 10 episodes. That’s pretty standard.

Anyways, let’s get to the Euphoria season 2 numbers. It managed to average 300,000 LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.11 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 7, which aired last Sunday night, February 20, 2022, drew in 350,000 LIVE viewers, and it got a 0.14 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was episode 5 with 353,000 LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 1 with 254,000 LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was episode 7 with the 0.14 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.08 ratings score. However, these Neilson, LIVE ratings are just an itty bitty part of the tale for these Euphoria numbers. Most of Euphoria’s viewers came from the live streaming platforms to the tune of a whopping 14 million viewers per episode! That was more than double the average of the season 1 numbers.

So, yeah. It’s pretty easy to see why HBO renewed this gem of a show. Those are some big 3, network TV numbers Euphoria is posting for them. We expect it to be around for a good, good while.
