The Rookie Season 4, April 17, 2022 Episode 19 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “The Rookie” fans. Unfortunately, we’ve got a new round of bad news for you guys in this article. It turns out that ABC is not going to give you guys the next, new episode 19 of The Rookie’s current season 4 tonight, April 17, 2022. That’s right, guys. It’s just not going to happen tonight.
On a much brighter note, ABC is only doing this to you this week. ABC has confirmed that they plan to air the new episode 19 next Sunday night, April 24, 2022 in its usual, 9 pm central standard time slot. So, definitely be sure to memorize that extremely important date and time.
So, just what in the heck is taking over The Rookie’s primetime spot on ABC tonight? Well, according to the TV guide listings, ABC feels the need to serve up a whopping 3 hours of American Idol. That’s right, guys. ABC has cleared out its entire Sunday night, primetme line up, tonight, to make way for this 3-hour American Idol special. Apparently, they’re going to reveal who the top 20 contestants for this season are by the time it’s over.
ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “The competition heats up as last week’s votes are in and this seasons top 20 hand-picked by America will be revealed. The remaining contestants will perform and viewers at home will vote once again to determine who will make it to the next round.”
If any of you guys are American Idol fans, you might still want to tune in to ABC ,tonight, to find out who the top 20 contestants will be. However, If you only want new episodes of The Rookie, you will definitely want to get some other plans arranged for tonight as quickly as possible.
Spoiler Warning: For those of you who are interested, we were able to collect an official spoiler description for one of The Rookie’s episode 19, season 4’s main storylines via ABC’s official, episode 19 press release. They also revealed the official title for episode 19, which is called, “Simone.”
It sounds like episode 19 will feature some very interesting, intense, dramatic, scandalous, possible action-filled and suspenseful scenes.
ABC’s official description for episode 19 reads like this,”Officer Nolan and the LA division of the FBI enlist the help of FBI trainee Simone Clark when one of her former students is suspected of terrorism following an explosion at a local power station.”
Episode 19 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Niecy Nash as character Simone Clark, Felix Solis as character Matthew Garza, Kat Foster as character Casey Fox and Frankie Faison as character Christopher “Cutty” Clark.
Episode 19 was written by Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter, and it was directed by Liz Friedlander.
Again, ABC confirmed that the next, new episode 19 of The Rookie’s current season 4 is scheduled to finally make its way to your TV sets next Sunday night, April 24, 2022 at approximately 9 pm central standard time.
