60 Minutes June 4, 2023 Episodes Not New. They’re Repeats

Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. As we previously reported, 60 Minutes recently wrapped up their latest season a few weeks back. So, CBS is currently running repeat episodes. These particular repeat episodes feature previously aired segments from different air dates. So, they don’t look exactly like the original episode that they aired with.

Also, some of you guys might not have seen these particular segments when they originally aired. If that is the case, these repeat episodes could seem new to you. With that said, we’re going to serve up a preview of what you can expect to see from these 60 Minutes repeat episodes when they hit the air tonight, June 4, 2023.

CBS did serve up a new, official press release for tonight’s set of repeat episodes. So, we’re going to certainly reference it to tell you what’s coming up tonight. First of all, CBS is going to air two repeat episodes of 60 Minutes back-to-back tonight. One of them is going to air from 6pm to 7pm central standard time. The second one is going to air from 7pm to 8pm central standard time.

We’re going to start with the 6pm to 7 pm central standard time slot show. It’s going to feature a repeat segment titled, “SUING SOCIAL MEDIA.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Sharyn Alfonsi reports on how new legal challenges against Meta, TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat may alter the future landscape of social media.

More than 2,000 families are pursuing lawsuits against the social media giants, accusing the platforms of impacting their kids’ mental health, and in some cases, causing the death of their children. Alfonsi sits down with some of these families and the founder of the Social Media Victims Law Center.”

The second and last repeat segment for this 6pm to 7pm episode is titled, “PRINCE HARRY.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Prince Harry sits down with Anderson Cooper to discuss his memoir, Spare, and recount his childhood, the loss of his mother and his rift with the royal family. This is a double-length segment.”

The first description for tonight’s 7pm to 8 pm central standard time slot show reveals that CBS will re-air a segment titled, “CRISIS.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “According to the CDC, the rates of suicide, self-harm, anxiety and depression are up among kids and teens – a trend that began before the pandemic.

A deficit of mental health care workers and facilities for young people, along with a depletion of resources during COVID-19 and lack of school mental health specialists, have created extraordinarily challenging conditions for families who need help in already troubling times.

Wisconsin is one state struggling to meet these needs. 60 MINUTES’ Sharyn Alfonsi travels to Milwaukee to chronicle how the pandemic has impacted the mental health of their youth and how families and communities have responded.”

The second description reveals that CBS will re-air a segment titled, “LAND OF FIRE AND ICE.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Bill Whitaker returns to Iceland to report on a volcano that erupted in 2021 and now boasts a new landscape of molten rock and snow. Whitaker explores the discoveries Icelandic scientists have made in forecasting eruptions and could apply to similar volcanoes around the world.”

The 3rd and final description for tonight’s 7 pm to 8pm central time show lets us know that CBS is going to re-air a segment titled, “SURVIVAL OF THE FRIENDLIEST.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Anderson Cooper reports on the links between dog and human evolution and explores how dogs diverged from wolves and developed what one geneticist calls “friendliness mutations.” Those mutations are found in the same genes that are deleted in some people with a condition called Williams syndrome.”

CBS’ press release confirmed that 60 Minutes will be repeat episodes tonight, June 4, 2023, and they’re scheduled to hit your TV screens, starting at approximately 6 pm central standard time.
