The Bachelorette July 3, 2023 Eliminated Caleb A, Kaleb K, John, Josh & Spencer (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, July 3, 2023, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2023 edition with headliner Charity Lawson did hit the air, and another set of unlucky guys did get eliminated at the end. Tonight’s episode kicked off with Aaron B getting a 1 on 1 date card.

Shortly after that, we saw footage of Charity and Aaron B’s 1 on 1 date. She took him for a drive through Hollywood. Charity told the private cams, “Aaron B made me feel like the best version of myself on the first night. He spoke from the heart.”

Aaron B told the private cams, “I feel like I’m in a movie with Charity. She makes me feel so comfortable. It’s like we’ve known each other for a long time.” Eventually, Charity and Aaron B parked in front of the Hollywood sign and talked about wanting the same love that their parents have. He told her, “The spark we have feels so good,” and they kissed.

They actually walked up right in front of the Hollywood sign at one point and kissed. Charity told the private cams, “I think our love could truly last through the ages. It feels right.”

During the second half of their date, Charity and Aaron talked over dinner and drinks. Aaron B revealed that he went to therapy to be a better person in relationships. Charity told the private cams, “I’m very appreciative that Aaron shared that with me. It’s very attractive to see someone who will put in the work to be a better person.”

Aaron told Charity, “I see a ton of green flags with you.” Charity said, “I think we’re off to a great start.” Aaron said, “You’re an incredible woman. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.” Charity told the private cams, “This date has been phenomenal.” Towards the end of their date, they danced and kissed to a private concert from singer Lauren Alaina, and Charity gave him a rose.

After all of that, Dotun, Tanner, Adrian, John, Caleb A., Caleb B., Kaleb K., Xavier, James, Aaron S., Sean and Brayden went on a group date with Charity. Charity took them to the beach. They played football for a while. Then, host Jesse Palmer showed up to tell them they’re competing in a dodgeball game. The winning team got to go to an afterparty with Charity. The losing team had to go back to the mansion. The guys had to wear speedos for this comp. At the end, Adrian was awarded MVP of the comp by Charity.

During the afterparty, Charity talked with Brayden. He told her, “I’m very attracted to you, and I want to explore this further.” Charity said, “I’m glad you’re here,” and they kissed.

Charity talked with John. They talked about their sports background and kissed. At one point, Brayden rubbed Adrian the wrong way by telling him that he thought someone else should’ve gotten the MVP at the dodgeball game.

Charity talked with Adrian. He told her, “I have a daughter, and I’m not here to play games.” He also kind of implied to her that some people aren’t there for the right reasons by saying they’re treating this like a Spring Break vacation. He didn’t give her any names though. After that, Charity told the rest of the guys that she’s not looking for people treating this like a vacation, and she is looking for something real. Charity gave John the group date rose.

Next, we got another group date featuring: Josh, John Henry, Michael, Warwick, Joey, and Spencer. Last season’s Bachelorette headliners Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey showed up to help out Charity find the guy that would help her break the longest kissing record in Bachelor Nation history.

The guys answered kissing questions before Charity chose who she was going to try to break the kissing record with. She ultimately chose Joey, and they broke the record by kissing for 4:25 seconds. As a reward, Joey got a special 1 on 1 date with Charity.

Back at the mansion, Brayden heard about Charity’s longest kissing date, and he expressed that he didn’t like it at all. He said, “It was disrespectful, and I don’t think I can stay here after that.”

During Charity and Joey’s 1 on 1 date, they talked and kissed some more. He told her his parents got divorced because his dad was actually gay, but they were still great parents to him. That experience made him a more loving person. Charity thanked him for sharing that. “I can see how much love you have,” she said.

She went on to say, “This date has been so good and special. Thanks for being vulnerable with me. Will you accept this rose?” Joey said, “yes.” She told the private cams, “I feel safe with Joey. He’s very open and honest. I’m very hopeful for us.”

Again, Brayden was seen telling the private cams, “I might go home if I don’t hear what I need to hear from Charity.” Then, host Jesse Palmer told them they’re having a BBQ party instead of a cocktail party.

Charity talked with Dotun. He told her he wasn’t considering coming on the show until he saw that she was the Bachelorette. They continued to have a great conversation and kissed. Charity talked with Tanner. He told her he’s there for the right reasons. Charity told the private cams, “I really do feel that from him.”

Charity talked with Sean. They played some putt putt golf together and had a great time. Brayden told Charity, “I was ready to run away after hearing about your kissing group date.” Charity said, “I feel so bad about that.” He told her, “Don’t feel bad,” and they laughed and seemed to be ok after that. Charity told the private cams, “I appreciated Brayden’s honest.”

Adrian talked with Charity. He told her that Brayden called Charity classless after hearing about her longest kiss group date, and he thought that was a little immature of Brayden. Charity had a problem with that word classless and said Brayden didn’t use that word during their conversation. Then, she cut the BBQ party short. The guys were upset about that, and Adrian told them he told her what Brayden said, and they got mad at Adrian. Xavier told the private cams, “Adrian, you need to keep your mouth shut about other people, bro.”

Next, the rose ceremony took place, and Charity gave out roses to: Dotun, Tanner, Caleb B., Warwick, Michael, Sean, Xavier, Aaron S., James, Adrian and Brayden. They joined: Aaron B., John and Joey who received roses earlier in this episode. That meant poor: Caleb A., Kaleb K., John Henry, Josh and Spencer did not get a rose and were eliminated.
